it will help, all the running will be good for you, but on top of that I'd say eat smaller portions and decrease your calorie intake at the same time...also, don't eat a few hours before you go to bed.

Here are my suggestions:
1. Speak to your doctor, and ask about this plan.
2. Get plenty of sleep.
3. Drink enough water.
4. Eat a carefully balanced diet, with plenty of fruits and vegetables and little or no "fast food."
5. Yes, play soccer, and walk a lot.
6. Try not to drink carbonated beverages.
I think 53 pounds is probably too ambitious in that short period of time, but you COULD lose quite a bit. What won't work is to starve yourself.
Look up Weight Watchers on the web.

At 12, you don't want to be losing weight as much as growing into the weight you're got. Some of it will even out, however.
And yes, soccer is a great phsyical sport that will help get you fit and keep your heart and muscles and bones healthy. But try not to obsess too much about your weight, ok? At this age, you still have a lot of growing to do! Just focus on activity and eating healthy foods!

I don't think you'll be able to lose 53 pounds in 3 months just by playing soccer. It will definitely help your weight loss, but it won't speed it up. It will probably take about four or five months to lose that much weight, even though it's hard to believe. If you want me to make you a diet plan to help you with your weight loss, feel free to email me at music_literature_freak@yahoo.com.
