I screwed up and wrote her a letter apologizing, promising to do better and even see a counselor. Now, i just hope she calls back.

Wow! This is my first time asking and got some good answers. Thanx everyone! And no I didn't cheat or get physical. I just acted like an *** after a few drinks and told her to leave after she refused to answer a few important (to me) questions w/o redirecting and bringing up anything negative about me she could think of to say!

Well, I really hope you didn't physically hurt her....if you did, I hope she is done with you. NOW if you just had a tiff then writing the sincerely felt letter, and a little gift would help you alot. Of course, it does depend on the argument, and what was done by you.......ex:::If you cheated then you deserve to not be with her and let her stand her ground. This I get the feeling is worse, as you have agreed to see a counselor. If this were me I would want to know that you have already attended a few sessions before I concede on this one. It's admirable that you will offer to get the counseling, but doing it is a different thing.....On the other hand you can bow out gracefully and let it be get the counseling for your problem, and make a better choice next time.....

Dont buy her forgiveness, Show her. Love means more from the heart not the wallet. Here`s an idea, 1st, write her a poem describing how you feel when she is around. 2nd, Find the prettiest spot in town to see the stars and invite her to meet you there, NO expectations!, for an evening of silent star watching, and instead of looking at the stars, Look at her and try to learn what she feels by body language. and 3rd, without pushing for a kiss or anything, calmly tell her how you feel about what you did. and ask, dont beg , for her forgivness.

Some girls like to be given presents by their boyfriend.
Others may just feel that you are trying to buy her affections, and this may not go down too well.
She may feel that you are not really thinking about what you've done that has upset her, but are trying to distract her from her hurt by buying her something.
If you do decide to get her a present, think very carefully about what you get her, and make sure you choose something that she'll really really like.
I once had a boyfriend who kept giving me presents, but they were things I didn't even like or want, or had no use for. It became more irritating than sweet.

If she has a serious issue with you (and it sounds so considering you're going to see a "counselor" for whatever you did) buying a gift may give her the impression that you just want forgiveness and don't care about why she's mad.

Depends what you did - not everything can be fixed so easily!! I think it is a nice gesture. Go for something quirky , something that has meaning for the two of you . Add a genuine short note and leave her to think a little
Good luck
