The one where you stick the fork in it or whatever and then run the jello down into it?

It's been about 30 years since I've made one!

Use a yellow or white cake mix. Bake the cake, according to package instructions, in a rectangular pan (13x9) till it's done. Let it cool. Mix the jello with hot water to dissolve the sugar. With a knife, cut several slits in the cake. Pour the jello mix over it, slowly, allowing it to be absorbed into the cake. Put it in the fridge for a couple of hours to let the jello set. When it's ready, frost it with Cool Whip.

JELLO POKE CAKE


1 pkg. white cake mix
1 pkg. (3 oz.) Jello, lemon or red
1 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water
Cool Whip

Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan. Cool 15 minutes. Poke warm cake with a fork at half inch intervals. Spoon warm gelatin over cake. Chill 3 to 4 hours. Top with whipped topping. Serves 12.

Lemon Cooler Cream Cake

INGREDIENTS
1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
1 cup hot water
1 cup cold water
2 (3 ounce) packages lemon flavored gelatin mix
1 cup milk
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed


DIRECTIONS
Prepare cake and bake according to package directions in a 9x13 inch baking dish. With a fork, poke holes all over top of cake.
Combine 1 cup hot water and 1 cup cold water with one package of lemon gelatin. Stir until gelatin is dissolved, and pour mixture over cake. Chill in refrigerator until cool.
In large bowl stir together milk, vanilla pudding mix and remaining package of lemon gelatin until powders are dissolved. Fold in whipped topping and spread mixture over cake. Refrigerate until serving.
