I have never heard of it. I have to take Vitamin D because they took out my Parathyroid gland when I had my thyroid removed. Now I take Calcitrol, a prescription Vit. D. It doesn't bother my tummy. I have taken it for years. Also, calcium in huge doses can be toxic...for phosphorus. Usually the over the counter types have it in them and big doses can raise the phos. in your blood. I have to take a prescription Phoslo calcium also because of that. Though I would go to Nutrition Express website and order the catalog and call them and find out if they sell a form of calcium or Vit. D that might work for you...without the added ingredients. They have about anything. Also, the body won't absorb Calcium without enough boron and you really need to take it in doses throughout the day, it is water soluble meaning it will break down and be released if you don't use it all right away. So, taking it at least twice makes it absorb better. Usually a good Calcium, Mag mix is better also. Mag. is the twin of calcium, they need each other. Good luck.
