I wanted to know what causes that.
Does it have to do with stress?
More Information would be great.

Stress is the #1 cause of bruxism, or grinding your teeth...since you're speaking/eating during the day, you don't think about it. At night, when you're asleep, is when most people grind, since they're jaws are immoblie for the most part.

A dental appliance called an Occlusal Guard can be made by your dentist. You can also get them OTC, but the fit won't be as perfect.

~Hope this helped~

The reason why you grind your teeth at night could be due to unrelated problems like stress, worry, anger, habit. You may not be aware of your grinding at times and it may seem unintentional but before you know it you will realise that all your back teeth will have their surfaces flattened. Better to get a mouth gaurd to be used at night and chew on it then on your teeth.

UNRESOLVED STRESS THOUGHOUT THE DAY.
HAVE YOUR DENTIST MAKE YOU AN N.T.I. BRUXISM APPLIANCE TO WEAR AT NIGHT. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP GRINDING AT NIGHT
