The Bible does not say that abortion is a sin. God commanded his followers to kill and rip open pregnant women (Numbers 31:17, Ezekiel 9:6, Hosea 13:16), and killed millions of pregnant women himself (Flood & Plagues). There are even Biblical instructions on how to abort the pregnancy of a woman who is suspected of being unfaithful (Numbers 5:12-31).

According to the Bible, man became a living soul when the BREATH of life was BREATHED into his nostrils (Genesis 2:7). Fetuses do NOT breathe through their nostrils until after BIRTH. In Biblical times, male babies were not counted as persons until they were a month old, and female babies were not counted at all (Numbers 3:15). The Bible also says that some would be better off if they had never been born (Ecclesiastes 6:3-5, Matthew 26:24).

Genesis 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

Numbers 3:15 "Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them."

Way to take things out of context there pal...

Just which one of those do you think condones abortion? In none of those instances did the woman choose to kill her unborn herself, she was murdered. Nearly all of those were in times of war or punishment for the sins of the land. As for the breathing life, you seem to forget Adam was not BORN, he was created. I see you didn't even bother to copy Numbers 5:12-31. Once you read it, you realized it had nothing to do with pregnant women did it?

Numbers 3:15 is clearly talking about counting people for a census, and says nothing about death in any way shape or form.

Matthew 26:24 "The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born."---- How in the world can you translate that into being about abortion? It clearly says that anyone who betrays Christ would have been better off not being born. It doesn't say "go abort babies."

You really seem to be the one who needs to read your bible more.

I am not sure if you have noticed, but everything that you have quoted here is old testament, or old covenant/promise, why is there an old testament and a new testament? because things are different now then they were before christ came! You have to remember that this covenant is old, The bible also tells us that people should never divorce unless one partner commits adultry. In present times, there are many other reasons for divorce, does that mean that God doesn
t love us? No, it just means that times have changed!
I am pro-choice, but i am not sure why you think that abortion is not a sin, it is. I had an abortion, but still feel as though God has forgiven me, and it is in the past. There is no sin that the blood of christ cannot wash away no matter how big!! I think that is where you are confused?? You are trying to justify it instead of acctepting it and asking for forgiveness.

do not communicate about abortion, this style of personal decision, in this way. that is this style of loaded question. someone consisting of your beliefs would not get an abortion. if you're adversarial to abortion cutting-edge a sparkling and logical argument do not ask a question to attempt to guilt human beings and push your agenda mutually. enable me fake this is a real question: If there turned right into a heaven and the fetus become conscious sufficient to understand something, definite, he might want to comprehend you. he's the in basic terms individual you knew his finished existence. And, definite, you may want to guard him, yet less than your assumptions it would want to be homicide, so that you'll not meet him in heaven. And in case you opt for to guard him, guard him in existence. yet, from my standpoint, there is no heaven and see you later as you get the abortion somewhat early and also you do not sense a presence there, there is no "he."

I've spent like a thousand hours studying the Bible, and have been through it about 4 times.

You have no clue as to what you're saying. Simple as that.

I agree with ghetto_p, you can interpret the bibile to mean pretty much whatever you want. Consider how many languages its translated into besides, the stuff that didnt even make it in - apochrophia (sp?), and why we have so many different religions to begin with.

Then again, maybe a God, wanted you to think about it. Maybe thats what our brains are for.

That is very true. The problem with the bible is that it contradicts itself. You can use different verses to mean whatever you want. It's all a matter of interpretation.

Honestly, you can twist most words from the bible to say whatever you want them to. I am sick of people arguing about abortion. We should just agree to disagree.
