well for one u take it to the vet. and if she isnt then u spay her. english bulldogs r difficut dogs to care for. especially when pregnant. chances r that she isnt pregnant because they almost always require artificial insemination to get them pregnant. if she is ur looking at a huge vet bill because she will need a c section for sure. so get ur dog spayed. it is a lot better than paying thousands of dollars to get her pregnant

Look on the forms, who's the canine from? If the dog was on a non-breeding contract then it is possible a excellent breeder that would be inclined to help you. Sure it does sound like she is pregnant, however an x-ray from the vet will confirm that. For my part i might get her to the vet day after today and not wait till friday, in finding any way to get her there. At this factor you do not know who the father is, it's extra doubtless no longer one more bulldog and very well could be some canine so much bigger. So whilst at the vet schedule a c-section, for the time the vet thinks the pups might be capable. The earlier owner sounds like an fool, so i would not go through whatever they are saying.

First of all a dog is pregnant for 63-64 days on average. As for knowing if she's pregnant there is a few ways, 1 you'll notice her gaining weight, 2 within a few weeks before she gives birth you can lightly feel her belly and be able to feel the puppies inside her moving around. The only other way is taking her to a vet. They can after 3 weeks do an ultrasound and be able to see them or after about 7 weeks (55days) see them by x-ray. If she is pregnant you'll need to increase her food after week 5, giving her 10% more food each week. And don't be worried if she decreases her intake of food a week before birth, its common.

Oh heavens - don't you know if you bred her or if she had access to a male while she was in season?

Please, get her spayed, last thing the world needs is more homeless pups - and obviously you have no clue about breeding or even what breed your bulldog could have bred with - sad, really sad.

Bulldogs have terrible births, by the way, the puppies heads are usually too large to pass through the birth canal, so get your dog to a vet for spaying before puppies develop that could kill her.

Well, if she was in heat & there was ANY male dog around her, & she wasn't confined, then you most likely have a pregnant dog; You can't tell, in the beginning, by her actions, but she may start being sweeter, & her appetite will improve, after a while. Keep a record of when she went into heat.

If she tied with another dog it is very probable she is pregnant.

I hope you are not a Back Yard Breeder ! ! They are as bad a Puppy Mills. Due to ignorance one can very easily screw up the genetics & produce a pet quality litter. papers or no papers, with out knowledge of the blood line & knowledge of possible faults or predispositions for specific faults in the breed you could screw up the genetics so bad that you have physical, mental & structual faults. All of which really screw up dogs.

Just say you didn't do it on purpose.

She'll give birth in a few weeks time!

Kidding, ok well she will start to put on weight, and eat more food. Her temperament will change, and she will start to nest, spending a lot of time asleep in her basket.

The vet can confirm that shes pregnant, with a scan, to tell you how many pups, but without one, the vaginal wall seals up slightly and turns a pale pink
