Since cabrito means goat, there are several ways to cook it. It is very good cooked in a bar-b-q smoker with or without sauce. It's good roasted or in a stew. In other words, it can be prepared the same ways you cook other meats. To me, it tastes rather like beef except it is drier....good luck

Cabrito, or goat, is best cooked if slaughtered between 30 and 40 days of age and grilled. The meat is tender and sweet and works well with barbecue sauces.

facetious answer!!:
pound the meat until it is flat flat. pound in some salt, pepper, jalapeno, and garlic.
nail the meat to a board and put it over campfire. Cook until the board starts to char pretty well. Take cabrito off the board, throw cabrito back on fire and eat the board!!
real answer!!:
dig a large pit the size of a swimming pool in back yard, line it with brick. put in enough wood from the trees in front yard to make a good bonfire. let it burn down to coals. Shovel back in half the dirt.
Wrap the meat covered in BBQ paste in old sheets, then in foil. Now wrap it in burlap. tie it with wire from alfalfa bales. Drop it into the pit. Now shovel the remaining dirt into the pit. Let it cook for 12 hours.
Dig it out, unwrap, and eat it with frijoles, potato salad and Boston Baked Beans!!

Hi sweetie, I think the best way to cook goat is to curry it.. not sure on a true recipe, but that is the best I can do.. If you can get hold of a west Indian recipe on line or a cook book, that is the place to go.*s*
