ha ha CFB, legal citizens use the big companies that provide "day labor", so I would think that 100% of them are illegal, why the raids.. good question, I will provide a link to an interesting editorial regarding the waste of law enforcement time on these raids. Sheriff Joke Arpaio led a raid on a church parking lot a couple of weeks ago in Cave Creek.. wow.. bet he made a big dent in the problem!

I hear talk all the time about loitering how do we know they are illegal simply ask for papers. If one decides to be loitering do we really know what their true intentions are ? Do we allow child molesters to be loitering at schools day cares, how do you know they are child molesters . You might just add to the day labor breaks the law by not reporting all money from working as a day labor,is tax evasion fair to the public ?They work as independent contractors, therefore they are required by law to furnish everything, independent contractors are suppose to have these things in place. It cannot always be everyone else's fault. The illegals should stop working as independent contractors, that's why they pay no taxes, it's up to them to keep a tally not those who use them.Same as if I hire an independent contractor suddenly I am suppose to offer him a complete benefit package.Tell me why are women not allowed to stand around loitering, how do you know they are sex worker, do they get to loiter like day labors. One law for the men, one law for the women.

1. I've never known a citizen to go "that route"...the only people doing the loitering day worker gig are illegals, addicts, alcoholics, or felons. In other words...these are the "unhireables." The majority are illegals. Just because a citizen might be present during a "raid" doesn't mean he'll get deported along with the riff-raff.
2. Raids target both.
****
The point is that these people are here ILLEGALLY. They can round them up at work, or at home or at the school or the grocery store for all I care.

I agree with dar. They use to swarm at me at home depot. I'm always afraid of running them over because they lack the brain power to realize how dangerous it is to crowd a car in a busy parking lot. Day labor sites were built near Home depot several years ago to prevent them from doing this. Some were built with government money while others were built by Home Depot themselves. I know Burbank force Home Depot to build one. I liked them, because atleast the day laobarers werekept away from the parking lots. Then the Minute men force these sites to close, but they are back again. SOme of the day laborers still mill around sites like U hauls in my city, and I am always annoyed by them.

It just goes to show you.....that loitering is another of many unlawful acts that illegals commit with no regard, on a daily basis......

I don't care if they are legal or not, if they block carways or swarm us when my kids are with me and my hands are full, I'm not pleased.
Of course, I've never hired any.
PS, I did my taxes yesterday and am mailing them today. You never heard of filing for an extension?
