your not going to make this, but the best thing in the world made from canned pie filling is a pudgy pie. You go to the store and buy a pudgy pie maker, pie filling, butter, and bread. (a pudgy pie maker is two shallow metal dishes with long handles that fit together and have a latch of some sort) then you start the campfire, stick your empty pudgy pie maker in there to warm it up, open up the pudgy pie maker, melt some butter in either side, stick a piece if bread in one side, spoon some pie filling on top, top with more bread and the other part of the pie maker. then you latch both sides of the pie maker together, pull off the excess bread sticking out the sides, and stick it back in the campfire until the bread is toasted and the filling is hot. Yummy!!!!!

It makes a good topping for a plain cheesecake. Expecially the cherry one. I used to make a faux cheesecake that was in a Jello cookbook and I would serve cherry pie filling with it.

We like to make what my family calls Sloppy Pancakes, and fill with the canned cherry or apple filling and roll up log style and dust with powdered sugar. Can be made for dessert or a breakfast or brunch. A more modern term is CREPE's. They are very easy to make, flour, eggs milk, oil, a little sugar, and vanilla.....and non-stick frypan about 8-10".

I would use the whole eggs...3. also, the first one you make is usually the first sample, you will have lots from the recipe, about a dozen or so, and they can be covered with wax paper between and refrigerated. Ziplock bags are great.

I don't use canned pie filling often, but one of my favorite recipes calls for it!

Open a can of pie filling into the bottom of a square baking dish. Sprinkle with one box of jiffy yellow cake mix (it's in the blue&white box for like $0.59). Then sprinkle with one small package of chopped nuts (walnut or pecan). Pour 1 stick of melted butter on top. Don't stir!!!

Bake until the top is golden brown and crispy! Serve with ice cream or whipped cream!

You cna make any pie or crumble just as you would with stewed fruit. However, I love just heating it up and serving it with creamy hot custard.

yum, yum, yum!!
