But this pain went on for years, exspecially when I moved a certain way it would be a horrible ache, that felt like I was being struck with a thick needle, recently in ( 2007) I received an x-ray for other reasons in their I SAW A BIG STAPLE left behind from removal ,and now I know where these sudden pains come from. 2 QUESTIONS....
Is their anything I can do now that it has been about 8 yrs now ?
Are their health risk associated with having a stainless steel stable left so far under the skin ?

Have you ever seen a doctor for the pain? If you have documented evidence that you have been suffering you may be able to file a charge against the responsible party. If it still causes pain I would get it removed. Stainless steel poses no danger to the body like lead does, you dont have to worry about that.

it depends what the staple is touching/ rubbing against. if it's only skin, it will be irritating and painful, but that's probably all.
if it's touching organs or soft tissue, it needs to come out!
i wouldn't try to sue the doctors, as they wouldn't have done this intentionally.
are they still in your area? if so, go and see them- there might have been a reason for it being there...
good luck!

Go talk to a lawyer and see what you can do.
