keep on doing what you have been doing, sometimes medicines take a while before they kick in, but add one ingredient, patience; with patience comes good things ...

It was a process that took time. I walked away from my childhood faith, and I was agnostic type. Then I started to have a hunger for His Word. I joined to non-denominational Christian church and I really enjoy worshiping God now. I got baptized again and I also attend several Bible studies.
I recommed a book called " Purose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. That really helped me a lot. I also wish that you would take part in the Alpha Bible study. That was a huge help. It taught about the hunger that only God can help.
Surround yourself with people who know more about God than you do. Do not give up easily.
God never gives up on you. He longs to have a personal relationship with you. Give it time. Thee is no shortcuts to spiritual maturity.
He is near. If He is not, then you moved. : )

It sounds like God is trying to reveal something to you. Maybe you are resisting him and don't know it. Faith is built up you don't decide to be a christian one day and have great faith the next it's a process. Turning away from God is not going to help you have to hang in there. Have you tried talking to your pastor?? Your pastor is your shepard he is responsible for your spiritual well-being so you need to talk to him. If everything is crashing around you then maybe that is just God testing you to see if you will truely live for him it sounds to me like that could very well be what's going on. You need to pray for God to reveal to you whatever it is He wants you to know. Sometimes we think we are trusting in God and when things don't turn out the way we think they should we feel like God failed well sweetie he never fails. My ultimate guess would be your a fairly new christian and your at the transition point where God trying to move you forward in your walk. Never give up on God! I know what you are going through! I have been through it and am still going through it, but except this time God is with me. Try not praying, but talk to God like he is a friend it helps me! Tell him your problems and just talk! It may seem stupid and i know i, went through the same thing and i lost God for a long time and just figured out a way that was right for me. Try going to church, if one church isn't good like Lutheran try catholic and if that is not what u believe try Pentecostal that is the kind i go to! That is more praise and worship than preaching and you kinda just gota get into God! If none of that helps contact me at tiger-eyes-15@hotmail.com and i will try to help you with something else!

I didn't read your whole entry, because it's too long. But I see how you're feeling, and sympathize. To come to christ late in life is not unusual, and you don't need to feel it's something only happening to you. A person can be picked out because of their background. Because what they become shines all the brighter. Think, that god somehow REACHED you in the circumstances you describe. And which you abhor now. But someday you will see that it's not too unusual. It's just "life without christ." Which the world thinks is "normal." (Ha ha, you have to laugh, it's so silly.) You will do well, and everything will fall into place. I feel SURE of it. God bless.

trust is faith!!! He has his reasons for things that happen I belive there are tests and there are trials. They build you up with him. I am going through a divorce and I am still so happy and thankful because god is with me and always will be. Hear is what I always say _ god will never put a mountain in front of me that I cannot climb with him by my side.Nothing is too hard to do or go through. Maybe you are having so many issues because you keep pushing him away? He will still always love you and he will still never foresake you. I will pray for you to get there

I tested the Lord little by little in my beginning. Oh ye of little faith. We aren't supposed to "understand." We are supposed to have faith which most times, defies understanding. When I felt separated from God, which I have many, many times, I went back to the beginning and started again. Asking for forgiveness and the Lord's prayer. I have always found that I was separated because I was doing something wrong. Unforgiveness, bitterness, judgmental, etc. You will remain in turmoil as long as you remain doing whatever it is you are doing. Sorry you are going through this.

Not sure what you're going through. My trust in God increases usually like this:
1) I am shown that I am not trusting God and/or that I need to be obedient in a specific area of my life.
2) I have a choice, be obedient or not.
3) The times that I have chosen to be obedient, I see a God result. God reveals part of himself to me.
I know with the Christian walk, you can't really apply a formula to it. In John 15, Jesus says to obey his commands and that He will reveal Himself to you. He also said in that chapter that His command was to love each other.
Think of an area in your life where you're not being obedient. If its too big to tackle then think of a small area where you need to be obedient and make a serious effort to do so. See if God shows up some how.
God wants us to trust Him. If you are a man and have a wife and kids, you want them to trust you in your decision making. Its similar with God.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
We ALL go through various trials and tribulations in our lives. Walking away from GOD was NOT the answer. I recommend reading Daniel 3. The three men were about to enter a fiery trial that would kill them. However, they not only were not killed, JESUS was with them during theit trial. The trials we go through are supposed to build our characters and bring us closer to GOD. I recommend hanging in there and focus on the LORD and HE will bless you in HIS time.
GOD bless

When you pray, God examines your heart, your true intentions. Continue to read, the best chapter is Job. You'll see that through suffering you come out better on the other side. Through suffering will come stronger faith, it will also help you to have better perserverance when you pull through. Hang in there, something is blocking you, or knows you'll give up.

Jesus said He is not of this world and neither are his people. He said that if they've hated me, they will hate you. We are not promised more than our needs while we live here, but
in knowledge of Him is great peace & hope.
Your time here may be hard, but think about the time Jesus had, and Paul had, to name a few good men. Of course,
Jesus was God in the flesh, but he suffered this life too. Look
to heaven and don't mind earthly things. As Paul said, If in this life only, we had hope, we'd be MOST MISERABLE.
Keep looking toward His coming. I believe it is soon. There lies our hope. Joy unspeakable.
