How Do Say In Spanish

here's a translator link:

http://babelfish.altavista.com/

and here's something to think about...

"hispanic"--why can't we say mexican or latin? the spanish were the oppressors, who came to their lands to take riches and exploit their populations, why do we homogenize these cultures and act like calling them mexican is some sort of racial slur? nothing wrong with being mexican. and there are so many differences to appreciate about spanish speaking cultures--doesn't seem appropriate to put them all in one convenient culture bucket.
