Well, a standard light bulb is 60 watts. One kilowatt is 1000 watts. So a 60 watt bulb is 0.06kW .

The cost for electricity is different all over. You can check with your local electric company (usually on their website) for their residential rates.

Ours in Arizona run about 12 cents per kW/hour - that is 12 cents for 1000 watts for one continuous hour.

So, to run a 60 watt bulb for one hour it would be 0.06 * $0.12 = $0.0072 per hour (in Arizona)

Kilowatt hours is a measure of energy.
Light-bulbs have no energy, they USE energy.

A 100 Watt light-bulb uses one kilowatt hour
when lit for ten hours.

A kilowatt hour costs between 9 & 12 cents
depending on where you live.
