I think my cat is pregnant but i am not for sure. She sleeps a lot more! also she kinda goes through moodswings. Like yesterday she was a lot more loving than usual. and today, when i try to pick her up she just runs away. but the last time that i no of her being in heat was 2 months ago. so if she got pregnant then, then she would have already had the kittens or would have looked more pregnant than wat she does now. So my question is, can you always tell when your cat is in heat or do the sometimes kind of hide it more where you cant tell at all???

Cats most always show typical signs of being in heat.

Here is what to look for:

Also I would highly advise her to get spayed if she is not a show breeder. There are just too many unwanted pets and more than 80% have to be euthanized....just too sad!!!

in all my years of breeding pedigree cat I have never ever had one that bleeds when on heat..
they become really affectionate .. loud .call. roll all over the floor and some will sit on their bottoms and pull themselves along the floor ..all of these symptoms are not present in all cats some have a combination of one or two .. others can get very distressed.

In my time I have breed persians/ burmese/ bengal ad now serengeti.
persian are silent callers.. very diffcult to tell when they are on heat.
burmese are very loud.
bengals very determined to mate..
serengetis mature early and can be really loud.

so no with some cats it isn't possible to tell if they are on heat.

as for pregnancy .. from matng to birth 64 -65 days

They yowl, roll round, lift their rears into the air even as the entrance in their frame is touching the ground. Please, get your cat spayed. There don't seem to be ample houses for the entire kittens which are born. If cash is an limitation, touch SPCA or Humane Society - you'll be able to get them spayed & vaccinated there for approximately $50 or if they do not do this for your subject, they may be able to mostly furnish a pay voucher or refer you to a cheap vet.

You should be able to. They will bleed just like a woman. They will be very affectionate....and they will try to get it, so if you don't want kittens, you better not let her out. Do what Bob Barker said "Help control the pet population, have you pet spayed or neutered!"

I don't think that you alway can, depends on the cat. Mine went in to heat a couple of times before I fixed her and she drove me nuts.

If your kitty is in heat she will be very affectionate, if you pet her rear by her tail she will lift her rear up like she wants to mate. I don't know about the pregnancy thing though, hoped that helped.

Don't know, I always get mine fixed to avoid adding to the cat population.
