I learned to "pick my battles'" I learned to trust them and they will return that trust. I learned to accept their flaws, even if it means his papers are not finished until 2 am the night before they are due. I learned to spend "alone" time with each of my kids. I learned to take time for myself.

I have never had children and don't know if it's a blessing or a curse, or somewhat of both. Sometimes I wish I had kids and other times when I see the things kids do and the things that are done to them, so who can say?

Wow, what a question. I have learned so much from my kids when they were young and even more as they are out on their own. They have taught me that my way is not the only way and their way will work too. They have taught me patience, empathy, and love. They have taught me that to bring up a child to believe in honesty, trust and values, that I have to believe in them, trust them, and support them in their decisions, along with guiding them along the way. Today my daughter is 25 and my son is 22, and both are a lot further along than I ever was at their ages. When they talk they make sense and my son especially is planning his life from the mistakes he has seen me make. Proud of both of them.
