I have a TV with an antenna, and if it were to sit exactly where a different TV works great, with the antenna pointed exactly the same direction, channels 2-11(?) don't work at all? After 11, all of the other channels come in the same (if not better). What is wrong with this tv? Is it fixable?, I think I looked through all the settings. uh, is vhf or uhf or something broken on the inside? will video games work?

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Channels 2-13 are VHF. Channela 14-69 are UHF.

Is the antenna UHF only? A lot of so called "HD Antennas" are just "UHF only antennas".

Round up a VCR or video game that outputs on channel 3/4, hook it up, and play a tape/game. If it works you know that the VHF tuner is OK and the problem is with the antenna.

Even if the VHF tuner is really shot, any video inputs probably still work since you can get the UHF channels. If the TV is old or cheap, fixing the tuner is not economically practical.

You could hook an old VCR up the the video inputs and use its tuner, or if you wait until Jan 2008, the government will have a coupon program that will let you get a digital converter for about $20 (after coupon). These will hook up to the video input and let the old TV receive all the old analog and new digital channels.

2-13 are VHF so it may be an issue with the TV or Antenna. TV tuners are all different so you may just have a poor tuner.

Your video games will still work if the tuner isn't broken and you play them on channel 3.
