As you notice these are mainly xians answering. No its not a satanic to believe more in yourself than your god,I know I am a satanist.Without self belief where are you, you can't rely on your god for all your answers you need to walk on your own to feet sometimes.Otherwise you will be abondened not knowing what to do.Everyone should believe in themselfs and if anyone tells you otherwise ignore them.I hope this helps.

And once agian I will say this towards all those setrotypes out there who are saying a satanist needs to believe in good to be one DO YOUR REASEARCH,thats devil worshippers not spiritual satanist which are diffrent, and that other satanism that I can't remeber there name, they don't believe in any gods.GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.I respect others beliefs as you should do to me,I won't try to convert anyone.Unless they ask about satanism then I shall merly give them the info needed to become a spiritual satanist which predates christianity by thousands of years.By the way actually follow your commanments if your going to call yourself a chritian.

Lets see what one was it,oh yes "Love thy neighbor like thy self"I believe is one and it basicly means treat others the way you want to be treated or love all, which ever meaning you prfere and I do believe it doesn't atter what their religion is you still have to treat them kindly.

Actuallly it depends on your definition of "Satanism". Anton Szandor LaVey founded the Church of Satan in San Francisco & he taught that you should care about yourself before anyone else. So according to this, I would have to say yes, it could be considered Satanism.
Interesting question!
Any library that hasn't been stolen from by the christians (who don't want you to learn about any belief system other than the one they profess to) should carry a copy of The Satanic Bible. It makes for interesting reading & some food for thought (another thing the chirstians don't want you to have).

I don't know if it is necessarily wrong but I do think that if some one believes in themselves more then God they are headed for hard times. I have found through experience that when I do thing my way it usually ends up in a mess. But when I do things God's way things usually work out for my good in the end.

We must put God above everything to be a child of God
we are nothing without God,just wandering in a foreign land.

Thou Art God. Find your True Will, and you find God. There is no difference between Self and God. Only Ego makes the distinction. Transcend Ego, and God and Self are One.

There is a differnce between confidence and conceited...but be sure that to be so wrapped up in "self" will block you from the sunlight of the spirit.
Regardless of the God of your understanding.

1. not at all; it is far more egotistical to think one's self as spokesperson for a god.
2. only to those who label anything they don't understand or anything different 'satanic.'

Not necessarily satanism but definitely elevating yourself to a "god" position.

It shouldn't be. What is the one thing we know more about then anything? Our selves. We have to believe in our selves. With out "that" belief, we are nothing. With out the belief in god we are still something.

We are supposed to believe more in something that has no proof then us that we have well, us. Everything that makes us feel, makes us real. Isn't that really....... Well, It makes no sense to me. That doesn't make us god. It makes us real.
