OK, i doubt the dog really understood "go get the cat". The old lady next door to be has a cat that wanders into my yard and drives my dog NUTS!! I love cats, i have 3..but they are all inside. People who let their animals wander in to other peoples yards are being bad pet owners. When my dog is around my cats he pretty much ignores them, and they leave him alone. but the cat from next door, i promise you it teases my dog. Will i feel bad if something happens to that cat, yes. but it was in my yard, and i am NOT about to try and cat proof my yard..lol. My dog...in my yard..her cat...in my yard...who is in the wrong here?

Well, the only reason your dog attacked the cat, was because of what you said and you let him off of the leash. I would reccomend keeping him in the house as much as you can, and when you take him outside, make sure he is on a leash. So, what happened? Did the cat die??

Your dog attacked the cat because he is cat aggressive and you chose to ignore what they told you when you adopted him. Shame on you for turning him loose on that cat! I feel bad for your neighbors. I hope your dog didn't severely injure or kill the cat. That poor cat.

you have long gone above and previous the call of accountability. You informed her to maintain her cats off your aspects and if she cared approximately them she would have accomplished so. She knew finished nicely they have been in risk if she enable them to roam. i'm rather beneficial my canines would kill a cat if it become stupid sufficient to bounce into my backyard. I positioned up 9ft fences each of ways around my backyard yet nevertheless I see cats strolling alongside on ideal of the fence and my canines flow nuts. nonetheless my canines are experienced to more advantageous point i'm no longer surely beneficial i'd desire to call them off a roaming cat the way you probably did alongside with your canines. i does no longer pay one crimson cent of her vet invoice. She's darn fortunate to have you ever for a neighbor who's being concerned sufficient to take her cat to the vet. Please do no longer sense undesirable. None of that's yours or your canines's fault. The cat wouldn't have been allowed to roam. Your neighbor is stupid and took a calculated possibility along with her cats life that did no longer pay off. there is not any longer something you could or ought to do. you have already accomplished extra suitable than sufficient. regrettably because of the fact she positioned her cats in risk, reliable community kin would be a element of the previous. that's in no way of your fault. i'd be telling her below no situations will your obedient, nicely behaved canines be muzzled of their very own backyard, no longer to point being positioned down, and to maintain her different cat interior her living house or build a cat run like in charge cat proprietors do and save her cats off your aspects. do no longer spend any further money helping this ungrateful neighbour with the vet costs. maximum folk does no longer do 0.5 of what you have accomplished to assist her out.

Pit bulls are bred as fighters. And you did in effect tell your dog to attack the cat. And then you let him go. What did you expect?
