Vigorous exercise is important to keep a body healthy. Playing a sport is one way to exercise, however, there are many other ways to do physical activities. Different activities help different parts of the body. What are some good exercises to keep the entire body healthy?

While rope jumping is fine it is not better than many other general exercises. Running, cycling and swimming all done vigorously are very good cardio activities. But the best thing is to combine strength training and cardio exercise. A well planned weight training routine with cardio is the very best. While weights is by far the best way to strengthen all muscles you can do many cardio exercises. Rock/boulder/mountain climbing, rough trail hiking, running stairs, xc skiing, snow shoeing, basketball and even a fast round of Frisbee can be great cardio work outs.

jumping rope!!! It works out all parts of your body and has less impact on your knees than jogging. It burns the most calories (23 calories per minute.) While bike riding at 10mph makes you lose 7 cals per minute, jogging at 5 mph makes you lose 6 cals per min, and walking at 3 mph makes you lose 3 cals per minute, JUMPING ROPE IS BEST!

Any kind of cardio (running, biking, stair master, eliptical) will increase your overall health. Cardio slims you down, improves body functions and will give you a stronger heart.
