Jesus is not God and the New Testament says that in over 500 places! Jesus was the only angel that had not sinned. So he got the honored job of coming down here and doing what God wanted him to. Jesus prayed to God everyday, to be told what he was to do that day.
He was tested by the devil, to show that he was strong and evil could not get him.
Look at Places like John 4:34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work."
Matt. 6:6 "... Pray to your Father, who is unseen."

Satan thinks he is stronger than God. He will not give up until the final battle. In the end he will stand up to God making claims and demands. With one look God will cast him into the lake of FIRE forever.
Satan leaves the wicked alone..he already has them right where he wants them..lost just like him. He attacks the righteous trying to make them forsake God. He had to give it a whrill with Jesus. But Satan is a loser...again and again.

Jesus is the son of God; He is a god in his own right, but when he was here on earth he was here to do the will of the father and satan tempted him to follow him instead of doing the the fathers will, which he was sent here to do.And that was to show us the way to return to our fathers kingdom if we would only follow his example and stay true to our Father in Heaven and ourselves.

Our Lord Jesus is from TWO (2) natures. Human and Divine. He is fully consubstatial with His Father and fully consubstantial with us. IN His Incarnation, the Logos of the Father became Man while remaining God. As Man, he could be born, hunger, sleep, get tired, eat, bleed, die and be tempted. As God, He could forgive sins on His own authority, walk on water, command the wind and the sea to obey Him, raise the dead, and rise from the dead Himself. Two Natures.
Philippians 2:5-9 says:
Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross

Some think that Satan did not know that Jesus was both God and man at the time.
Others think that Satan, who is pride at its highest and worst, continued to attempt to elevate himself above God and temp Him.

Satan is the deceiver so obviously he was trying to fool God's own Son into thinking that His Father didn't mean what He meant when He said what He said. It is Satan's job to try to trick us into thinking God is not who He says He is. Hmmmmmmm. It works a lot of the time.

Oh I don't know. If Jesus was God before being incarnated as God, then what he knew of the flesh was from observation only. Imagine if you'd never known the thrill of possibility...the tease of sweet flesh, yours for the taking...the chance to make others bend to your will...even to MAKE them be good, to MAKE them follow the path you know is right....Suddenly, you're confined in abody that is utterly human, utterly open to the possibilities of temptation...you might not necessarily have the equilibrium to use that flesh, or that god-power well or wisely. You might be vulnerable, to pleasure, to power, to pain.
What tempter worth the name could miss an opportunity like that?

its on.y been in the past 30 or so years and with the rise of the pentecostal church, that anyone actually said Jesus was god. Until then, he was only god's son, as the bible says, if you care to read the stupid book, instead of letting others interpret it for you. Of course, if you actually did read it, you might realize just how far fetched it really is, and realize that no god exists.

No. He did tithe however. He observed the regulation completely. even though it is not a call for of the christian. Church leaders misapply the verses concerning generosity to get their sheep to tithe.
