I use a general rule of thumb about the fruits and veggies I buy. I take notice of where I get the item and use that as a guide. What I mean is that if I get an item in a refrigerated area I put it in the fridge. If it is not cool and out on the tables. I do not put them in the fridge.
But potatoes do need to be in a dark dry place.

Yeah i've heard that potatoes or onions are not to be kept in fridge. But if there is a portion of either remaining then i keep them in the fridge covered. So far i've not found any difference in the taste.

I do not store potatoes in the fridge because it seems to me when doing so it changes their taste. I have discovered that white potatoes particularly seem to take on a slightly sweet flavor and I really don't care for that. I place mine in the pantry on a shelf where they stay nice and dry.

Potatoes will dis-color and get mushy in the fridge. They need to be stored in a dark, dry, cool space. (Dark so the eyes won't germinate and start to grow, and dry so they won't mildew.)
Most other vegetables are okay in the fridge.

you extremely do not opt for to placed potatoes contained in the refrigerator. Being contained in the refrigerator, the potatoes would assemble condensation and decay out faster. they opt for a cool, dry, darkish position to be saved.

No, I keep my potatoes in a cool place. If you put them in the frig they tend to get sweet.
