I suppose that's what pantheism is all about. Or panentheism. Always confuse the two.

But yeah, if you are trying to get from being Christian to being correct, it would make sense to look at things that way for awhile.

That very well could be,
I don't know any more than you, to completely renounce that would be ridiculous of me and anyone else. Just as it would be ridiculous to call it fact, or absolute truth.

But as long as people feel the need to have a comfortable version of an almost anthropomorphic god, with superhuman abilities, etc. it's doubtful that many people would even open their eyes enough to consider this possibility though.
And that's my problem with a lot of organized religion....how are we to ever find any "absolute truth" if we already hold expectations as to what that truth should/must/needs to be?

interesting, thought-provoking question.

No, it is man that is God and he is who created the universe and every thing in it, man comes from an intelligence on the other side he was already created prior to his coming, now there are hundreds of theories of just how mankind came about including the above, and there is not one shred of evidence in any of them, mankind today lives in a world of insanity and religious mythical beliefs that have a thousand interpretations, and he is worse now than he was in the beginning, so my thoughts are why seek out something that simply is not there, unless of course your in it for the money like most are anyway, have a great day.

I have not seen his impact on my life.

God-the supernatural being conceived as the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator and ruler of the universe; the object of worship

I don't worship the universe, and how is the universe supernatural? How can the universe be the originator of its self?

I am just going to stick with my non-theist ideas of the universe.

Peace be upon you.

Yes. Thou art God. The Universe is God. All that is manifested is a manifestation of the Unmanifest. I would agree with that. I consider myself to be a Pantheist, and Animist, and a Polytheist.

Anything is possible, but for the idea to be useful it must be possible to use it to make predictions. In this case, that cannot be done: since it cannot be shown that the universe is NOT god, it can be shown that no predictions can be made.

Yes, this philosophical position is called Pantheism. It says that everything in the Universe is God - You, I, the stars, Nature, Everything.

Well, it could be true if you don't want to listen to what God tells us about himself. He told us that he created the universe, so if you believe him then, no, he is not the universe. If you don't believe what God says, believe what ever you like. However, that doesn't mean that whatever you decide to believe is automatically true. There is only one truth.

People used to think the sun was a god. Humans just want to believe in a god. It really doesn't matter what it is...as long as they can pray to it and think it cares.
