Yes it is, and this is because the invoice does not tell the whole story, there are many other incentives and rebated to the dealer, so you can pay below invoice and they can still make a profit. This is especially true at places that sell a lot of cars. (the factory says " sell 500 of this model and we will discount them by 15%" or such)

It's possible, especially if you use a site or service like cars.com or aaa.com. The invoice is what the dealer is cvharged by the manufacturer. What the invoice does not include or reflect are all of the floor plans, advertising, below market (what you & I would pay) financing, and the like. If you buy a car off the lot, the dealer is more like to go "below invoice" than if you order. Plus, whatever the dealer may "lose" on your below invoice deal the dealer more than makes up from the person who orders a car loaded to the gills with mostly unnecessary optons. As an example, Saturn charges around $50 for floor mats. Go to Target and get the floormats for $20.

The invoice price is the sticker price at the dealership itself. The internet price is just a price that they put up to make people want to come see it since its a little cheaper on the internet, and no you cannot buy a car off the internet and have them deliver it to you. Also some tips when buying a new car, NEVER PAY STICKER PRICE, you can ALWAYS knock the sticker price down $1500-$4000. Its a tough economy so just work with the dealer. Dont rush into it if they do not drop the price or your not happy with the price, just leave. most likely they will call you back the next day wanting to negotiate Hope this helps

Below invoice is actually a false sale. They get away with it because they post the price that they would pay if they weren't buying in volume as opposed to the price that they actually pay for each car according to the purchasing agreement they have with their supplier. It's like being at the grocery store and you see things on sale at 3 for $6, or $2.49 each. They are posting the price of the item unbundled.
Even if they say they are offering deals 'below invoice' because of end of year pricing to clear the current models for the year--it's not based on the true cost of the vehicle to the dealership.
Interestingly, it's illegal to have 'permanent sales', and marking a price up to pretend they are giving you a deal is also illegal, but as there is not much money spent by consumer affairs to police such activity, it has become the norm--buyer beware!
ultimately, if you want to buy a new car, you have to buy based on your needs and wants and research whoever has the best price period, no matter what term they use to quote that price.

The way I have been able to buy a car below invoice is by getting the least popular color, getting last years model, buying the demo, or noticing a small scratch on the car. Or you can just play hardball and get quotes from dealers all over the United States, if they see you are willing to get a car shipped from another place because they will not match the price, believe me, they will.

Yes, you can purchase a vehicle at a price under the dealer invoice..It is not the dealer that is actually giving the discounts though..Especially this time of yr. ,the manufacturers will give incentives that will at times price a vehicle under invoice. Lets face it, a dealer has to make money to pay for their many many business expenses..
But anyway, it can be done because the manufacturer gives the incentives.

yep, they always jack up the price and they can tell you anything that invoice is. They have sales "below invoice" if they didn't make a profit, they would never do it.
Also, always haggle and do your research. And shop around. My thing is, never show you LOVE a car and be able to walk away from it if it isn't the price you want. Who wants to barely afford a car and then feel like they got a bad deal. always stand your ground.

I can print an invoice that says anything. Do you believe that a dealer is gonna sell you the car for less than he paid for it? Just a way to get people to buy a new car.
