I think it did too. There was a couple that lived around here. They were on the news 3 years ago that disappeared without a trace. Not one ounce of evidence to suggest what happen to them. I remember hearing a few other people (children too) disappearing and thinking Oh my gosh is it happening? And I don't even believe in the rapture but I have some friends that do.

Anyone who really knows the what the Bible says wouldn't ask such a question! If you had any idea how things will actually be after the rapture - called the "catching away" in some translations, you could easily know the rapture hasn't taken place yet! Believe me, when it *does* happen, you'll know it! Just stop and think - has there been a mass disappearance of babies and children under the age of accountability? There's your answer!
To the person who believes the rapture is a Nineteenth Century invention or construct just because the word isn't used in the Bible, a homework assignment: Read a Bible! The *concept* is there, even if that exact word isn't! The Greek word, eros, isn't in the Greek and Aramaic translation of the Bible either; but some people in Biblical times must have know *something* about it!

Ditto kevr
After 'the Restrainer'(the Holy Ghost) is taken up 'the man of lawlessness' will have his way. He will probably be aided by aliens giving him supernatural powers to do the lying wonders foretold in the Bible.
He will bring peace for first 3-1/2 yrs then have a fatal blow. He will be resurrected with the spirit of Satan and plunge this world to the depths of destruction. All will unite against Israel(we are beginning to see the propaganda) but will always be defeated as GOD IS ON THEIR SIDE.
Of course, much hellish activity last 3-1/2 yrs.

we won't. in common terms God is conscious. i for my section don't have faith interior the rapture like many persons do. a lot of human beings think of in common terms Catholics would be raptured, or whites, etc. i think that a definite form of persons would be protcted while the tip comes. i do no longer think the tip would be as obvious as that's interior the books and movies. The Bible says it is going to come like a theif interior the night. which skill we won't understand while it has come. it ought to have already started, we are only finding forward to the superb few years, days, etc. for all Hell to interrupt unfastened and Jesus to return and set up His robust Kingdom. i'm hoping which you would be between the residing right here to compliment God as quickly as He has widespread the hot thousand 365 days Kingdom.

Because if the rapture would have happened I would not be here. Not only that, it does not talk about a "secret rapture" in the bible. It says that when He returns we all will know it. Two men will be standing in a field, one man will be gone and the other will be left standing there, that is how it will be.

Nope.
After the rapture there would be no church.
The anti-Christ would be on the march putting to death all Christians and Jews.
A world leader would come to center stage and be accepted by the world.
Read again about the "End Times" and you find out that many things that need to happen haven't yet.

Back in the 1970s, all the big-name fundie leaders swore up and down that the rapture would be happening in the 80s or 90s. They couldn't be wrong; god had told them so, so it must have happened.

Because the rapture is not scripturally supported. It was one man's interpretation of a few select verses from Daniel and First Thessalonians and didn't exist until the 1800's.
It gained popularity, especially by those who interpret Revelation as prophecy, because it suggests that Christians will be spared the tribulation period. This also, is not supported by scripture.
