Personally whenever too many people thumbs me up, I have to re-evaluate what I typed lol. I just answered one question that I got 7 count them 7 thumbs down for! I think its good to have a decent balance of ups and downs. Really it doesnt matter, but it does give you an indication as to the loyalties and beliefs on the board.

The Bible says that we will be persecuted for our beliefs. A thumbs down is a trivial thing but it restores my faith in the Word.

Maybe it's a masochistic trait, but I enjoy the thumbs down. I don't expect most to like what I rant about, so it usually confirms my stance on whatever subject. If everyone liked what I had to say, I'd be doing something wrong. After all, whether or not an idea can withstand the volley of scrutinous criticism is the only sure way of determining the validity of ones belief system. If everyone agrees, unquestionably, it's obviously flawed.

I just got 8 thumbs down for an answer I gave. The atheists can claim part of that badge of courage. They are not exempt in giving thumbs down.

Edit: make that 9
Edit. make that 14

I don't know if I've ever had any thumbs down, and besides I don't know why you are just addressing Christians. There are a LOT of non-Christians on here. So how do you know if it's a Christian giving you a thumbs down or a thumbs up? It could just as easily be a Mormon, a Jew, or a Pagan, and you really have no way of knowing.

I am a devout christian and feel that 99 thumbs down of people that disagree with me is nothing new to me, however if I can have a single atheist/agnostic who finds a glimpse of truth in what I say and gives the thumbs up that 1 is worth the 99 down in truth it would be worth any numbers of down!

Hahaha. Sometimes I answer as a Christian, other times as a Pagan, and still others as an Agnostic. I get thumbs down for all three!

I don't care either way, thumbs up or down. I also just laugh when I get reported. there are 3 people in this world of which I care what they think. one is me and the other two are myself and I.

keep up the good attitude. people worry too much about what others think.

Personally, I think I've managed to build up a collection of "downers" who follow my answers just to "thumb down" me...without even reading what I've written.

So, I suppose it's good because people know that I have taken a position and voice my beliefs.

Plus, it gives the kids something to do.

I also have a growing collection of hate and death-threat e-mails. Again from posting my honest and sincere beliefs.

Imagine that.

I was under the impression if I give 10,000 thumbs down, I will be able to enter heaven. I'm almost there, but my mom keeps reporting me so I will stay forever in the hell of her basement.

If I'm trying to be funny and I get thumbs up, it just feels so good. When I get a lot of thumbs down I wonder how my response can suck so badly.
