Love is a combination of lust, dreams, trust, and caring. Boy/Girl Men/Women love is often mostly lust. That is the stuff songs are made of. Hormones are strong, you want to be together, kissing, holding hands, gazing into eyes. You dream of marriage, buying homes, having babies.
After about 6-12 months that cools some and true love starts. You trust that the other has your back, you are a team. The other won't hurt you for the world or you them. If they have a need you want to fill it because you know they would do the same for you. Good times and bad, sickness and in health, richer and for poorer.
Imagine yourself with your true love for 60 years and one of you has had a stoke, you take care of each other, you have the same memories of youth, the same children and grand children and great grand children and know each other like nobody in the world can.
Youthful saying I love you is often said too lightly or used to get someone to do something they shouldn't. Love has to be earned and shown before you know it is real.
You can't love someone you can't trust.

Ok this is a really good question. Sitting back and looking at my life, I've dated about 6-7 people, and only loved two of them. I'm married to a wonderful woman, and I knew that love was there for these reasons: There was trust, and that is a must when being in a relationship. Doubt is one of the biggest problems people run into in a relationship. There is attraction, and not just in the physical realm, there must be that special attraction to the person's charm and personality. If you don't like things that the person does more than a couple times a day, that will eventually be a problem. And there is that feeling in your heart that the you and the other person really care about each other. You can tell when they talk to you on the phone, in person, and by the way they act when you hug each other. Trust me on one thing, sex is not a quality of love, it can cause more problems than it resolves.

Love is a 100% acceptance of both people's feelings for each other. Everything they do and say are just truly amongst themselves and not for anyone else. Some of the things that make up a "strong and faithful" love are:
1. Compromise, understanding, and listening to each other attentively.
2. Spending time with each other and not talking about money alot.
3. Making each other happy by not overdoing things like - calling too frequently, sending too many love posts, and leaving gaps to meet each other after a couple of days.
The third point is based on my personal experience, because by doing that, it gives you room and space to breathe doing other things in life (work, errands, activities) as well as remembering there's someone for you all the time.
Hope this helps :)

Love is an intense feeling of affection related to a sense of strong loyalty or profound oneness
.[1] The meaning of love varies relative to context. Romantic love is seen as an ineffable feeling of intense attraction shared in passionate or intimate attraction and intimate interpersonal and sexual relationships
.[2] Though often linked to personal relations, love is often given a broader signification, a love of humanity, of nature, with life itself, or a oneness with the Universe, a universal love. Love can also be construed as Platonic love,
[3] religious love,
[4] familial love, and, more casually, great affection for anything considered strongly pleasurable, desirable, or preferred, to include activities and foods.
[5][2] This diverse range of meanings in the singular word love is often contrasted with the plurality of Greek words for love, reflecting the concept's depth, versatility, and complexity.

well there are many types of love. like i love my family, good way to test the theory is how would you feel if they were gone. then there is love for a boyfriend or girlfriend which ever. i guess the way to tell if it is the one, is if you feel all tingly and want to be held in their arms all night long, and the other ofcourse. some times it can be confused with lust. well if they dont do your head in after three months you can bet your bottom dollar it is love. smile it will all come together and may be one day you will understand love, but dont try to hard to understand it, go with the flow

Love comes to us in many different ways. Only you will know, I'm afraid. It's because the feeling is so indescribable. I could not accurately tell you what love feels like without possibly pointing you in completely the wrong direction.
Sorry I could not be more helpful.

To love is to do everything in your power to make another feel wanted because that person is doing everything to make you feel the same. It is mutual, and if you've any hint it is not, don't go there.
Love has nothing to do with sex. It has everything to do with intimacy in mind, body, and spirit.
Love cannot be a one-way experience. Love cannot take away another's problems. Love works best between two totally whole people who love themselves. If you cannot love you, how can another love you?

When a GUY is quiet and is
alone,
He's is thinking how good you're, Miss
you!!!
When a GUY is lying on his bed,
He is thinking deeply why he loves you.
When a GUY looks at you in your eyes,
He wants to tell you how much he loves
you and
how important you're.
When a GUY answers "I'm Fine" after
awhile,
He is not and feels hurts.
When a GUY keep asking you the same
question,
He is wondering why you are lying.
When a GUY hugs you while sleeping,
He is wishing that you belongs to him
forever.
When a GUY calls you everyday,
He Miss You and wants your attention.
When a GUY wants to see you everyday,
He cares for you and want to know how
are you
today.
When a GUY sms's u everyday,
He wants you to know he is fine.
When a GUY says I love you,
He really
means it.
When a GUY says that he can't live
without you,
He has made up his mind that you are his
future
wife.
When a GUY says "I Miss You",
He wants to see you immeditely.

Scientifically speaking, love is a micro-partical, smaller than a quasi-pulsing anti-boson. Its spikey in appearance, much like a hedgehog, but soft-a consistancy like toffee. Its electromagnetically attracted to the southern pole, and shrinks when exposed to salt! Love is marvellous! When you add love to milk, you get a kitten!!!

What is love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.
Hahaha. Silly 90s music, thats what it is.
Seriously though, if you don't have the slightest idea what love is, you're not mature enough to be in a romantic relationship.
Its literally undescribable.
Tell the kid to check back in 5 years.
