Did you know that we should all do a certain amount of farts a day to be healthy? Sorry I can't remember how many! We need to break wind just like we need to wee and poo. I am sure everybody who has a bed farts in it! Even the queen I am sure does royal farts between royal sheets.

If you are still convinced that you have a problem it could be down to many things. Has your diet changed recently, do you have lots of greens? If so, good for you, farts and all I say, but you may want to eat them more when you might not see your man in the following hours if you think it may be contributing.

Obviously beans and pulses tend to carry a little methane pocket with them...

In fact anything with fibre will to an extent, it is normal and natural!

Probiotic little "drinks" may help to an extent, but to be honest I doubt very much that you have a flatulence problem. I would put money on it being more a confidence problem! I don't mean to offend in any way but are you quite new to relationships? Us oldies know that farting comes with the territory!

You can bet that Johnny Depp farted in bed with Kate Moss, and does with Vanessa Paradis, and vice versa! I am sure that Jordan and Peter Andre will experience this natural phenomenon too!

It is natural to not want to fart in front of your loved one, but in a normal relationship the odd one will slip through, and of course, you can really let rip when he is asleep! You really don't have to hold on until the morning. Anyway if you think you have a real explosion brewing, what's wrong with a quick trip to the loo?

Just don't worry! He hasn't said anything because either he hasn't noticed or he is completely and utterly in love with you! Or both!

So be happy and within reason LET GO!

No more clenching now...relax.....

Oh one more thing, if you suspect it may be a loud one and you're in bed, grab a buttock and pull it away! Part the waves! Will turn a trumpet into a little hiss, no less smelly but at least not loud...

Most farting is caused by the way you eat; some is caused by what you eat, and not farting at all is totally unnatural.

You might be able to fart less during the night by 'getting it all out of the way' (go to the bathroom, turn the tap on, massage your belly*) before you go to sleep. This is often especially effective after sex, because all the pelvic movement can stir up air that's trapped in your digestive system.

(Yoga is traditionally performed outdoors, on waking and before sleeping, and some of the evening poses are designed to release gas*, so that you're not letting it out in bed.)

Chewing carefully and very thoroughly can help reduce the amount of gas you need to vent, because eating quickly can cause a lot of air to be swallowed. If your food is chewed so thoroughly that you only swallow 'soup', then it will be more effectively digested, avoiding some of the reactions that can produce intestinal 'flatus'. Eating more soup can help too.

Try to relax about doing it, and about what he's thinking. Guys will put up with a lot (and a few bodily emissions isn't much to put up with; he probably sleeps like a foghorn at home) if they are getting some enjoyment, too.

*You should get some further information about yoga positions for 'expelling fumes', before trying to use the technique (it's difficult if you're guessing). You should also check out massage books & websites because there are some things that you should AVOID doing when you massage your abdomen.

Farting is not a symptom of disease — in fact, it's sign of good health. You're eating a healthy diet and paying the price for it by eating more fiber than next person.

The best way to fight flatulence is to limit the trigger foods; those beans; vegetables like cabbage and broccoli; smelly eggs, and fizzy drinks, which fill you up with gas. Do not eat anything that can irritate your stomach either, and it's much better if you have your last meal 4 hours before going to bed.

Other than that, girl you are human!

You could try charcoal tablets , which are available at the pharmacy .
There are a number of other drugs which can help reduce excess wind .
I am sure once you get much better acquainted with this guy you won't be worrying about the odd release of wind . . After all everybody farts during the day and night

Take a look at your diet and stop eating farty things, and go to the pharmacy and get some charcoal tablets. They break up the wind. the do turn your poo black though, but they work quite well.

Or ask for something else, we get all kinds of embarassing problems in the pharmacy, much more embarassing than farting, so dont be shy - any pharmacy can suppy you with plenty of advice and diferent things to take to calm things down.

Don't worry about it! Everybody farts, its just only a few are brave enough to admit it. lol. of course there are times when it would be inappropriate like funerals, weddings etc. otherwise just let it go.

I personally go through phases, sometimes I fart loads of afew weeks, then it goes away. Just try and eat more fibre, that should sort it out, or it did for me anyway :)

A while back, my gf and I were out drinking with some friends. While out, we met some people working from out of town. We all went back to my place and continued the party. The next morning, after everyone had left, my gf determined that some cash and jewelery were missing. She figured that one of the guys we let you our master bedroom bathroom must have snagged the missing items. We filed charges and had the guy arrested. He was released on bond and a court date was set. Just before the court date, I was in the bathroom and was moving some stuff around in the cabinet when i discovered a little bundle wrapped in a scarf. It was the missing money and jewelery that she had stashed the night of the party and forgot because she was plastered! It wound up costing me 2500 to keep the guy from pressing his own charges. Not to mention the sheer embarrassment of having to come face to face with the guy. Moral of the story.... Never trust a drunk person!

It is normal for you to fart. It is normal to be embarrassed. Try to not be embarrassed. It is likely that your bf has noticed and cares more for you and the relationship than he does the normal function of farting. If concerned, ask him about it in a loving and adult way.

You need to take some probiotics (get the best kind from your local health food store) so you can restore the function of the beneficial bacteria in your digestive tract. Also, if you refrain from eating after 6 PM, it will help.

Go to the doctor and get help OR they do sell over the counter medicine at the store. You can buy medicine to help relieve gas... Give it a try - good luck!
