Honestly, I think the first answerer was mostly right. His/her response was "because their nutters". Assuming he refered to the ones who say such things as I am a Nazi because I am a Witness, then he/she is Right.

Also many who put things on here are simply copying something they read elsewhere.

One person posted an incredibly long "experience" she supposedly had with Witnesses. It was clearly false, and also had been posted before by others. I mentioned that fact in my answer. The asker sent me a message telling me off and left a rude comment on my 360 page.

Another person claimed that if we Witnesses could get our hands on guns we would violently force others to become Witnesses. When I addressed the fact that, A we wouldn't, B we could get guns if we wished, since we haven't tried to force others, it seems unlikely his claim is correct.

He messaged me 3 times. Each time cussing me out explaining how he Knows we would if we could, and how Witnesses should be marched off to the ovens, and hitler had the right idea.

Mostly I think it makes these ones feel smart to put up rediculous answers.

A good example of the more frivolous claims/accusations is the comment made by Jew Gurl. We don't treat Jews ANY different from others.

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

There are as many reasons why ppl
"are so hard on Jehovah's Witnesses."
As there are reasons to listen to them.
I'll list a few of the reasons;
(what I feel / think / believe)
as to the why:

We don't believe in the trinity lie.
(most of Christendom does)

We live according to the Bible, Literally.
(see that; LIVE by the Bible.
And this world's ruler is Satan the Devil
why would he like us, he doesn't.)

They don't know any Witnesses',
and so believe the lies told about them.
(not finding out for themselves)

We do not have a share in secular holidays;
as they are not Biblical...as so; it points out,
that what others are doing is Wrong, in God's eyes....
and ppl do not like to be proved wrong.

Most Importantly, Jesus said his followers would be hated.
BAM! There it is, we follow Jesus.
To the letter.

EDIT:
what that dude said,
our Bible is changed to fit our beliefs, Not True!
I checked out Everything I was Ever told by the Witness'
in the beginning of my studying w/ them.
And Everything that I was taught,
showed & told from the Bible is true!
All Bibles have the same message.
The only BIG difference is the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures replaced God's personal name Jehovah,
where it was removed.
And some other fine details,
that have to do w/ transliteration.
All Bibles have the same message.

People are always afraid of what they don't understand.

The Witnesses do not celebrate secular holidays and go door to door spreading the good news of the Kingdom. Not things that most people would find 'normal'. So, they give them a hard time. But as you have studied with them, you know that it does not bother them.

You are right. They are nothing like people think they are when you get to know them and they are among the friendliest people you can meet. I'm glad you have an open mind about them!

please understand the tags attached to this particular groups, what people have heard or seen,I have study with and they came in two and then in three because there were some questions they could not answer. But they stop coming .but when i see them were ever i would hug them just like i did the first time we met and also pray with them and for them.We as believers should not place judgment upon any one because they have a different way of worshiping.we pray for one another to be as one in Christ Jesus.if its not in the word i pray that everyone prays for answers.Pray for peace amongst us

Omg girl that is because you are a Christian..try being Jewish for a day when those Jehovah Witnesses come knocking on your door, esp when they jump infront of you when you walk off your front porch and you have to run away from them..

They are incredible nice people. They make easy targets because they come to your door and bother you in the privacy of your own home. They don't believe in celebrating birthdays, Christmas, Mother's day or Father's day, etc. They also don't believe that Jesus is God.

Have you seen how the Witnesses behave on this forum? Watch for a while and you will see.

Jehovah's Witnesses are very nice people, but their founders added, edited, and omitted the truth from the Bible to fit their theology. Most Witnesses don't know this, they are simply taught. They have taught that the Trinity cannot be true, because it cannot be understood. But a look into the Bible consistently shows this. (exp Isaiah 9:6 - where the Saviour will be called Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace, Mighty God , Wonderful Counselor.) Prince of Peace we know refers to Jesus Christ; Wonderful Counselor, is the Holy Spirit).
