EDIT: Such as loading a magazine at night before bed (using my finger to slide the bullet back and down touching the slug itself). Obviously not firing unless someone breaks in.

NOBODY need wash hands to specifically remedy 'lead exposure' alone.

This is another of the unproven 'carcinogenic' hazards perpetuated by the busy-bodies of OSHA, and is supposedly caused by inhaling lead 'vapor' and microscopic particles resulting from firing unprotected lead projectiles into hard backstops, NOT from merely handling the bare lead bullets themselves. This is also a 'SUPPOSED' 'hazard' of bullet casting, as well.
Only thing is, I personally know dozens of frequent shooters and casters, including myself, who have been exposed to these supposed 'cancer' hazards for YEARS, and NONE of us are showing ANY medical symptoms of these long-time exposures.

Wash your hands because they are dirty,NOT because you are exposing yourself to volumes of Lead dust or lead exposure. You are worrying over nothing. The lead is "encased" inside the copper or copper washed bullet, so there is no danger of absorbing any serious levels of lead through your skin.Relax...

Under what circumstances ? Reloading or at the range ?
Actually, just washing is not a bad idea. The lead that you may encounter is airborne, thus inhaled.

It's ALWAYS a good idea to just wash your hands, PERIOD!
Are you just unsanitary?
I won't be coming to your house for dinner anytime soon.
