The Dead Sea Scrolls only apply to the Old Testament. The New Testament hadn't been written.

To tell you the truth! the bible does not establish Divine Authority. Nor is it a perfect work, nor does it have all REVEALED truth. Nor can any library Contain the words of God. for the word of god cannot be bound while Jesus is the word of God, that does not mean that the bible is Jesus christ. The only thing I heard about the dead sea scrolls in proving accuracy is that the book of isaiah seemed to be the same. However, there are many Ancient manuscripts out there that should be considered as well, to help verify what the bible loses in traditions and history and interpretations

The first of the Dead Sea Scroll discoveries occurred in 1947 in Qumran, a village situated about twenty miles east of Jerusalem on the northwest shore of the Dead Sea. A young Bedouin shepherd, following a goat that had gone astray, tossed a rock into one of the caves along the seacliffs and heard a cracking sound: the rock had hit a ceramic pot containing leather and papyrus scrolls that were later determined to be nearly twenty centuries old. Ten years and many searches later, eleven caves around the Dead Sea were found to contain tens of thousands of scroll fragments dating from the third century B.C. to A.D. 68 and representing an estimated eight hundred separate works.
The Dead Sea Scrolls comprise a vast collection of Jewish documents written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, and encompassing many subjects and literary styles. They include manuscripts or fragments of every book in the Hebrew Bible except the Book of Esther, all of them created nearly one thousand years earlier than any previously known biblical manuscripts. The scrolls also contain the earliest existing biblical commentary, on the Book of Habakkuk, and many other writings, among them religious works pertaining to Jewish sects of the time
The legends of what was contained in the Dead Sea Scrolls are far beyond what was actually there. There were no lost books of the Bible or other literature that there was not already other copies of. The vast majority of the Dead Sea Scrolls were simply copies of books of the Old Testament from 250-150 B.C. A copy or portion of nearly every Old Testament book was found in Qumran. There were extra-biblical and apocryphal books found as well, but again, the vast majority of the scrolls were copies of the Hebrew Old Testament. The Dead Sea Scrolls were such an amazing discovery in that the scrolls were in excellent condition and had remained hidden for so long (over 2000 years). The Dead Sea Scrolls can also give us confidence in the reliability of the Old Testament manuscripts since there were minimal differences between the manuscripts that had previously been discovered and those that were found in Qumran. Clearly this is a testament to the way God has preserved His Word down through the centuries, protecting it from extinction and guarding it against significant error.

What it proved was the great age of the Bible, that it had not changed a word in all those years. The Isaiah scroll has been carbon dated to to a range of about 300 BC and is the same as the Isaiah of modern times. Most Bibles are accurate, the problems with translation are usually minimal, you can buy several and compare them.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are a bunch of Jewish documents. There are copies of Isaiah I think that agree (mostly) with the one that was used in the Bible. But for the most part, they tend to deal with things like dates, calendars, etc., that don't say much about the Bible at all, and nothing at all about the New Testament.
Even if they agree, and more scrolls were found, it just shows that some of the early manuscripts agree. Nothing like this can prove the accuracy of anything.

Yes, except in the way u worded ur q.
It proved that the book of Isaiah is Unchanged.
The Bible itself, is true in it's accuracy.
All Bibles have the same message.
So far, 'kait' has given u truthful accuracy is his / her telling of it.
The 1 most agreed on as to being the most accurate,
is the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.
Althought, many ppl will disagree.
More, say it is the most accurate.

The dating on these Scrolls indicate they were written between 2 BCE and 1 CE and are the only known biblical documents that date prior to 100 CE.
The Dead Sea Scrolls were dated using carbon dating. We know how many Christians view the accuracy of carbon dating so I'm sure they don't believe in the age of these Scrolls.

The Dead Sea Scrolls proved that the Bible has not been changed. So, it is perfectly preserved for 2007 years. Those who say that it was "corrupted" lose. THe Dead Sea Scrolls was what proved the Bible to be completely unchaged since it was first written, this is why we Christians exist today believing that the Bible is the word of God in perfection. Have a great day :-)

--The Scrolls have indeed helped to substantiate the honesty & truthfullness of the entire Bible
--THESE ARE some commentaries on the accuracy of the Bible as we have today:
*** sm pp. 33-34 pars. 4-7 Is the Bible Still the Word of God?
--There is abundant proof that the Bible has not been corrupted by men since its original writing. What proof? Why, those ancient manuscripts mentioned in the previous paragraph.
--5 Regarding the preserving of the Greek Scriptures (Injil) until our day, a scientist pointed out: “The interval then between the dates of original composition and the earliest extant evidence becomes so small as to be in fact negligible, and the last foundation for any doubt that the Scriptures have come down to us SUBSTANTIALLY AS (my caps) they were written has now been removed.” (The Bible and Archaeology, by Sir Frederic Kenyon)
--Sir Frederic Kenyon is here expressing the widely accepted fact that we can read in the Greek Scriptures (Injil) substantially what the original writers, under inspiration, put there. There has been NO GROSS DISTORTION (my caps)
----6 Regarding the Hebrew Scriptures (Tevrat), the external proof is equally strong that they have been preserved faithfully. The ancient copyists of those scriptures were renowned for their accuracy. Today there are seventeen hundred ancient manuscripts of the Hebrew Scriptures of the Bible in existence, and comparison shows them to be substantially the same.
****In 1947, some very ancient manuscripts were discovered in the region of the Dead Sea. They included some that were a thousand years older than any hitherto extant. Yet a comparison of these ancient manuscripts with our modern Bible shows little significant variation, especially with regard to teaching and doctrine. After examining these newly discovered ancient documents, Professor Millar Burrows said: “The general reader and student of the Bible may be satisfied to note that nothing in all this changes our understanding of the religious teachings of the Bible . . . The ESSENTIAL TRUTH (my caps )and the will of God revealed in the Bible, however, have been preserved unchanged through all the vicissitudes in the transmission of the text.”—THE DEAD SEA SCROLLS, by Millar Burrows.
--7 Is this not reasonable? Should we not expect that the Almighty God would be able to preserve his Word uncorrupted? The Bible itself says: “The green grass has dried up, the blossom has withered; but as for the word of our God, it will last to time indefinite.”—Isaiah 40:8.
--THERE ARE some translations that indeed have tried to improve in their accuracy!
--SINCE none of our modern Bibles had the original "INSPIRATION" that God gave the 40 writers or biographers of the Scriptures as stated:
(2 Timothy 3:16) “. . .All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness. . .”
--WE WOULD have to rely on the honest efforts of dedicated translators with thousands of manuscripts, papyri, framents, to be able to determine if anything would be out of the range of truth---to the present as accurate a translation as possible!
*****HERE ARE some I would recommend:
--NEW WORLD TRANSLATION OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
--AMPLIFIED BIBLE
--JERUSALEM BIBLE
--YOUNGS LITERAL TRANSLATION
--THE BIBLE IN LIVING ENGLISH
--AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION
--DARBY TRANSLATION
--NEW ENGLISH BIBLE
--It would be wise to be careful of paraphrased versions!
=========
--On the matter of confusion, for instance, according to Benjamin Wilsons introductory comments in his EMPAHTIC DIAGLOTT
the King James Version when authorized to be written had only 8 manuscripts available to be translated from, thus allowing for thousands of descrepancies
--TODAY there are thousands of manuscripts of the NT alone, that can be compared and would indicate which indeed are part of the original writings
