Another option is at stores like baby's R us or similar store. they have baby fences that you can buy panels for until they are long enough to go around the fireplace and they anchor into wall studs. They have a gate on them so you can get to the fireplace but the kids can't reach it. We use the same thing to keep our son and dog out of the kitchen since it's open to the living room instead of having a door way.

I think you are going to have to go to a fireplace shop and or an ornament metal work shop. There are rigid shell screens made for flat front fire places and it sounds like you need to have one built that forms a cylinder around the pedestal a foot or so out.
Rigid like this

You might ask these people if they have an outer guard

The item you are looking for was called a 'fire guard' in my childhood and youth when everyone here in London was still burning coal in their fires.

I've chosen this site because they seem to specialise in child safety fireguards. There are thousands of companies thoughout the UK selling fireguards.

As truthfully everyone else has noted, there remains the probability of the a minimum of the sprint board, in spite of the undeniable fact that in case you suitable strapped in the vehicle seat and your new child I doubt the windshield may well be too huge a worry (in concept) yet nonetheless issues ought to come flying throughout the windshield. i might say the probability is purely too super. i does no longer do it and that i might in no way propose everybody else to. as properly, what if the sensors died or malfunctioned? frightening concept.
