Vitamin A deficiencies cause night blindness.
It could also be foggy headlights that have become scratched up by rocks, bugs, and other objects. You can buy a kit to clean them up and your lights will become bright again or you can get them professionally done.

This is a serious answer:
I have had the problem for several years. It is called "night blindness".
There is no "cure". glasses won't help.
It doesn't usually happen to a person under the age of 50, but I guess it could.

the eyes have what are called rods and cones. Its what makes animals eyes light up at night when you flash them with your car headlight. Basically, the eyes are reflecting the excess light. Cones and rods respectively reflect and absorb light.

You may have Nyctalopia, which is congenital. This can also be due to vitamin A deficiency, which is where the suggestion that carrots, which are rich in vitamin A, helped British pilots see in the dark in WW ll.
