It's usually the alarm.
On some cars it's used to indicate that the interior motion sensors are active.

In my vehicle, it is the alarm warning.
At night, if a potential criminal wishes to steal or break into a car, the light is supposed to scare the criminal away.

it rather is in lots of circumstances complicated. plenty departments use slicktops (automobiles without lightbars), besides the shown fact that there assorted wannabes available who placed blue lights of their grille/sprint. maximum possibly that's a cop, and you may pull over. in case you easily sense that the automobile at the back of you seems shady, proceed slowly to the subsequent populated section. If, on your way there, you spot a 2d automobile lights you up, you may assume which you're being pulled over for actual. in case you opt for to end immediately after being signaled by employing the 1st automobile, be conscious how they park at the back of you. maximum actual law enforcement officers are going to park their automobile exterior of you (it is, nearer to the line), and a million-2 automobile lengths at the back of you.
