Far be it that we wait impatiently, but we are very impatient people. God is so good to us but still we cry, "give us what we desire, what we ask of you. Our Lord says, "it is my desire for you to wait patiently." "Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven, then all else will be added unto you."
Did you hear what the Lord is stating, when he says, "seek first the 'Kingdom of Heaven'," We must be patient as we wait, we must seek first the Lord Jesus and Love him with all of our hearts, mind and soul, with all of our strength.
Sure you will be blessed along the way, but when we have been tested and purified, then God will come and his rewards with Him. Do you hear His voice, his sheep hears His voice? Listen and wait on the Lord your God.
In Christ,

If we live according to the teachings of Jesus and the Prophets
we do many things we obey the Lord, disprove our dissenters, live happily, and time becomes of no importance.
This is just to name a few.
God knows what He is doing.

Hard to say. After David's fling with Bathsheba God brought despair upon his house. David, I feel, died with a broken heart, but, he knew he would suffer for what he had done ( 2 Samuel 12:1-14). Psalm 51 is a good example of his heart after this ordeal with Bathsheba. I would say read the psalms of David. There other Psalms and not all are his. In these you should find the key to his patiently waiting. I feel he did it through Praise and Prayer.

Darlin' - David's patience was but for a moment in comparison to Noah. David didn't even operate faithfully after his Kingdom DID come as promised.
From the moment God told him that the flood was coming (at approximately age 500-Genesis 5:32) Noah worked diligently on the task given him by God in anticipation of the day that God's promised flood would come.
It came when Noah was 600 years old. (Genesis 7:6,11) The water didn't even receed until Noah was 601 years old! (Genesis 8:13).
He not only waited for the promise - he worked faithfully.
He didn't have popular acceptance of his work - only his family joined him.
Can you stand against the entire known world without popular societal support - while working for Jesus? I'm a Single woman facing the world alone - and I faulter all the time. I don't know HOW Noah did it for over 100 years! I break down from the lonliness nearly every two or three months!
We have to rest in the knowledge that the Kingsom IS coming - and His assurance that we are His - and instead of grieving over what hasn't happened yet, we just need to be satisfied with the work at hand - and His loving and enduring presence.
Peace.

FYI - Noah was well named. He rested in God's promise.

David understood the rank of authority, and the blessing of obedience.
Abraham is another wonderful example: Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

you do no longer watch for something. You get available in life and experience it. you have hobbies and meet human beings and do issues and stay totally. you would be so busy having a super life, love will locate you and the customary of that love would be greater advantageous than in case you will basically been sitting there waiting around.

Micah tells us: What does God require of us? To act justly and love mercy and walk humbly with our God. Well that's a pretty good description of the "how" of waiting. Paul tells us not to be weary of doing good. And Jesus himself says that no matter how early or late the farmer works in his field, he has to wait for the plants to grow and for harvest time to come.
Do what you find to do, and do it with all your might, for the glory of God. And time will pass...you won't have to "be" patient if you are doing what you're meant to do.

i have found the RUACH HAKODESH to be the most
helpful. i often go to Psalms ( which David mostly wrote)
to endure hard times. me and my son have spent months
reading them out loud on a daily basis. sometimes
only the word of GOD helps.
