In a last hope to save their religion trying to make evolution (and some even the big bang) fit into the bible?

Some Christians are intimidated by the scientific community. They don't feel able to defend the Bible in which they believe. Information from the scientific realm can be overwhelming. Rather than learn how to defend that in which they believe, they settle for trying to reconcile the Biblical account with "scientific findings." Thus, some now teach that God "created" by means of evolution.

What they feel is a means of reconciling, however, is nothing more than compromise. Truth cannot be compromised. And suggesting that God created by means of evolution is still a direct contradiction of God's word.

As for the big bang, it points to a beginning, yes? The implications then are profound, for scientists do believe in cause and effect. So we are faced with this key issue, even as one gentleman said: “If at some point in the past, the Universe was once close to a singular state of infinitely small size and infinite density, we have to ask what was there before and what was outside the Universe. . . . We have to face the problem of a Beginning.” Moreover, scientists tell us that the universe is expanding. Now an expanding universe would have profound implications. What do I mean? Something had to start the process and that something had to be powerful enough to overcome the immense gravity of the entire universe. Who was that?

The Big Bang does fit, Evolution doesn't.

There's no issue of us saving Christ and the Church. The Holy Spirit is always reviving things when Satan is stirring up trouble and his various schemes to deceive men. Jesus is who He said He was ! Everyone will one day recognise this (at their final judgement if they don't believe now).

Evolution is just an issue relating to Genesis, if you read all of that literally. The christian faith is based essentially on what Jesus did as our Saviour. He provided a forgiveness and reconciliation which you won't find elsewhere. The letters sometimes use the Adam and Eve story figuratively with respect to people falling out of relationship with God - just observe a stretch of human history and you will see all the violence and so on, showing that Mankind is not the perfect creature that men would often like to believe. Paul and the other apostles don't argue much at all regarding Adam and Eve - there was a lot more direct evidence that Christ's message was true, and they persuaded by that and with also by signs and wonders in Jesus' name. If you believe .. you find out it is true as then God can fulfil His promises.

I don't..It isn't a last hope to save my religion. My religion doesn't need to be saved as far as I know. I live in Canada, I am free to worship as I please, The USA has a bill of rights that allows them to do the same. My friends in the UK have no trouble worshipping either. I am glad I don't live in a country where my religion is banned. I don't think believing in evolution will help those in such a country to be able to worship as they see fit. People have many beliefs. It is not fair of you to say I can't believe as I do. I believe that Evolution is a valid theory, The big bang also. I am also a Christian. Why am I not allowed to hold these beliefs?

Evolution will not fit with the Bible,if evolution is true then
leave God because he lie,s,but I believe the word of God
so I say evolution is false, not the word of God.

It would appear this is backwards. In a last hope to deny God, some are trying to replace Him with evolution and the big bang. Some Christians try to unify human theories with God’s creation; and there is no need, for what God has created and done is finished and sufficient. He also instructs us not to mix wheat with chaff or to be unevenly yoked. I’m sure you expect others to accept you for who you are, so why not accept God for who He is and what He’s done?

Can you give an example, I mean evolution is a theory scientific theory, they have just announced that some of the bones found were not placed right on some of the dinosours they put together.

Scientists are people that think and think and try to prove something by cause and effect when it comes to proving the Bible is wrong because the earth has been found to be older it is because of ignorance of how God measures time. It is told to us who can understand it. Time to God is measured not in days like here on Earth, God created the seperation between night and day for us not for Him but for the Earth.

A milenia to us is a day to God so God created the Universe and Earth with it according to His time frame because when He started there was no division between.

Scientists are none believers without proof of existence therefore this is why they are constantly on a quest to prove to try to improve to sudy we need them, don't you think that man has advanced to us today without evolvement from say the time the Romans ruled their world (which they thought was flat right?)

Big Bang came from a Catholic Priest, you know.

Atheist scientists try to stop him because of the obvious religious implications.

As a Christian, it is saddening to see people losing faith in God and as a result changing the Bible to support things like the theory of evolution, which clearly contradicts Scripture (though not with respect to microevolution).

The truth of the Bible endures forever. So I feel no need to fit the "evolution" lie into the truth of the Bible.

There's a heretical move in "christianity" today to frame the things believed and taught to be in line with an unsaved audience. It is garbage and illogical to do this, because then, anything is "christianity" to that crowd, whereas the Bible defines what a saved Christian really ought to believe.
