Most good relationships begin with friendship.. Ask her and if she says no then just apologise for over-stepping the mark and carry on....

Aww This Is Really Difficult. =/
Could Be awkward Whichever Way You Look At The Situation.
I Say Read The Signals Shes Giving Out, Do You Think Shes Feel The Same Way?
If Yes - Go For It. Otherwise You Will Regret A Missed Opportunity.
If No - Try To Ignore Your Feelings ( I Know It Is Hard )
You Could Still Have An Amazing Friendship, =]

How do you know it will sacrifice your friendship? as much as it will not sacrifice your friendship? In not telling her you are living a lie, to her, to you, and to your friendship. You have to come clean but do it in your favour. Over a few nice beers on a cold winters Sunday afternoon after shopping. (he,he) If she says no then don't change anything in your relationship BUT DON'T PINE HER. THAT IS THAT if you continue on your attraction then this will surely ruin your friendship. Go get some fresh fish. If she says yes well, go from there. You know deep down what she will say but put the odds in your favour. Gd luck!!

It shouldn't sacrifice your friendship, if the friendship is strong. I've asked out a few friends, but we are all still close.

It may be hard to ask make it casual, lunch or something. See how it goes. She may be thinking the same about you. If she's really a friend letting her know you want to get to know her better won't be a bad thing. Think about the best case scenario soon you could be dating a great girl who you already consider a friend.

Oh, wow, this happened to me once with a really good friend. I didn't even ask the guy out, I only asked him to dance with me and things got weird. If you're really good friends with her and you're not sure she feels more than friendship, you might want to think again about asking her out.

do you want a girlfriend or do you want a friendship with boys and girls there could only be one I could never be friends with someone I felt attractive with because there would always be that pink elephant in the room just take a minute to think do you really want them or do you have lust for them

Be open to her and first ask her if she doesn't get mad if you have to step further with your relationship with her. Make sure also that you already know her mood, styles and etc. and with that you know when is the time to tell her. Yup it could jeopardize your friendship but who knows maybe she also has feelings for you. Goodluck!

it could be a little hard to talk around her if she says no but i have a friend who has a friend who's a guy and he's asked her out like 5 times and they're still friends but she doesn't invite him to her concerts in case he gets into a fight with a cute guy she's flirting with

do you think she wants you to ask her out? if you aren't pretty sure, don't do it. Unless she wants to go out with you, regardless of weather she says yes or not, it will be a crappy relationship.
reworded:
likes you=good relationship, be careful
does not like you=forced and fighting relationship
