The information that I found on Ancestry.com indicates that Johann Scholl was born in Schwartz-Wald, Germany (Black Forest) in 1705 and
Phillip P. Scholl was born in Rhein, Pfalz, Germany in 1716. You'd probably have to get a copy of their German birth records to know for sure.
