I pray for the strength to handle the things I go through and the wisdom to make the right decisions.
I generally never have any concerns that God will meet my material needs and thank him.

Of course we want and need both. Jesus himself taught us to pray (Matth 6:9-13). He taught us to pray that his Father's name be sanctified and for God's Kingdom to come (spiritual). He also included our "bread for this day".

Hi,
I pray for both because we all need both. Don't tell me you don't, or I'll have to call you Sister Super Christian!

Spiritual blessings.
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you".
Matthew 6 : 33
25. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26. Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27. Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28. And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29. And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

YOU.... missed this.....!
(Ephesians 1:2-3) Grace be to you, and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Eph 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ;
AND.....
(1Timothy 6:6-to10) But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(1Ti 6:7) For we brought nothing into the world, and it is clear that we can carry nothing out.
(1Ti 6:8) But having food and clothing, we will be content.
(1Ti 6:9) But they who will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which plunge men into destruction and perdition.
(1Ti 6:10) For the love of money is a root of all evils, of which some having lusted after, they were seduced from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
