I own both electronic and conventional scales besides measuring cups. But the electronic scale is my preferred choice as it weighs more accurately and is more convenient for me when it comes to baking.

Right now I'm using a cheap one from Wal-Mart. It's not digital, but it's lasted me 10 years. I'm really in the market for a Polder digital scale. Maybe for Christmas? I have other Polder things, and they're good quality.

I have always preferred the balance kind, but do have a dial one. It wasn't expensive, but the balance ones are. My kids pinched the weights for experiments so the dial one still works.
