I am so sorry. You sould like a really nice person who desent deserve this. Ok, you realized that your are not happy. Thats good that you are not denying it. A lot of people get tired w/ school. Are you experiencing some insomnia? Overload with stress? That could be some depression. Make sure to prioritize. With the SAT's.. that is anxiety for everyone. But you are worrying about it excessively it appears. Anxiety is a sign of depression. 60% of Teens who have depression also experience some anxiety. I am sorry about your "friends".... you are right they probably werent true friends. And the mirror thing... you seem tio be experienceing some VERY low self-esteem. That is a sign of depression. Screw your class. They are probably just jealous of you. Crying/sadness is depression. You should NOT hide this in... that is a sign of guild/shame and that goes w/ depression. Your parents love you so they will understand. It will feel a lot better telling a trusted adult about your feelings and emotions. A LOT of people experience depression. Not that I can diagnose you.. but I think you should seek some help. If you ever want to talk to somebody annonymously call these places... and most of all SEEK help. It is worth it!! If you dont it will feel like short term gain, but in reality it will be long term pain!!! Good Luck!! ;-)

Sounds like you are going through a small bout of depression. We all go through this. You really should talk to someone though, be it your parents, or a friend, or even asking if you can see a counselor.

Sometimes I get that way when I feel like I have nothing to look forward to. As soon as I find something to look forward to I get happy again.

Usually, feeling that way is normal and not that big of a deal. It happens to everyone and you'll work past it. If we were happy all the time, life wouldn't be normal.

Now, if you are having thoughts about death or suicide, please talk to someone as soon as possible. Though these thoughts are normal in times of depression, they aren't safe either.

do something good foryourself like ...
work out
shop
eat chocolate

Your parents sound like great people, and for that reason they're the very ones you should talk to. They would WANT to know if you're feeling this way. I promise you, if you sit down and tell them what you're feeling, they'll understand and they WILL help. You'll be so glad you did. Don't put it off any longer. If they knew you were feeling this bad and you felt you couldn't talk to them, they would be hurt. They're the best friends you have or will ever have. Talk to them soon.

You might have SAD that affects people every year, this is because the sun is blocked by clouds and fog. You really should talk to your parents casue what if you became suicidal and kill yourself then they'd really have something to worry about.

Try your school's guidance counselor, or an adult that you feel that you can trust. Depression is an illness, but it is treatable. Seek help, while you know that you need it.
