Im an irish soldier, and i know when i signed up, i was told that i was never, while serving Ireland, allowed to be politically active or join any subversive organisations and must remain netural. However i recieved some int on british troops in basrah parading round and taking pictures of themselves wearing the uniform of the british army with an orange sash representing the orange order in northern ireland. This order is completly anti-catholic with members like ian paisly who in european parliment called pope john paul an anti-christ. Not only this but the photos were sent to a magazine where they were published. This magazine belongs to a neo-nazi group called combat 18. So here they are in an anti catholic organisation and published in an anti jew, black, packastani, catholic etc magazine. Where are the genrerals who take care of these racist problems?

the British Army is alive with such members- the Duke of Kent is the world's numero uno Freemason, so it's a system based on funny handshakes and hidden agendas..most of the heroes of the British Empire were freemasons etc. and UK NWO organizations like the Round Table and Chatham House, formally known as the Royal Institute of International Affairs, all have masonic connections. Thsi stuff goes right to the top.

Care to show some proof of the alleged pictures?

Do you have a copy of the magazine??

Or are you just out to stir it??

Ian Paisley is not the head of the Orange Lodge and his opinions have no connection to your alleged story.

Great Britain is a Protestant Country and most of its military are predominantly members of one form or another of the Protestant faith.

Are you claiming to be a member of the military of the Republic of Ireland?

or an Irishman in the Service of the Queen in the British Army??

You have the right to vote for any Irish political party of your choosing, while serving in the I.D.F.

You are not however allowed as a serving Irish soldier to contribute any money to a specific Political Party.

And you are not allowed to be a member of a prohibited Organization like the I.R.A. or I.N.L.A. or by copies of "An Phoblacht" the Sinn Fein Propaganda magazine.

You are also not allowed to belong to any secret organizations such as "The Knights of Columbanus" or the Free Masons.

A copy will also be sent to the GOC of the barracks in basrah. until these soldiers get court martialed ill not be happy and believe me it'll go through all the proper channels. Further more i am in the the irish pdf im a red **** cpl with only three years service and already two medals. I can tell from your answer your the typical free stater the type that during the irish civil war tied the irreguars in kerry together and placed a mine beneath them. Your kind make me sick! Read the question properly i never said paisley was the leader im well aware of all the rank structure of these people i know more about them than Dublin castle. It is also a valid point to show readers the sort of people with in this organisation. After all it was the loyalists witht the help of the british army that blew up dublin and Monaghon and the poor victims of the miami show band. sure hopefully when they try and march through Dublin again you'll be on the front line, ill look out for ya cause i know what side ill be on for ill be ED that day if it comes again.

The "int" consists of pictures posted to bebo (a social networking site), and showed troops staging a mock "twelfth of july" parade, complete with imitation "riot police" and "concerned residents" demanding they be rerouted.

"The twelfth" is observed mainly in Northern Ireland, but also to a lesser degree in the Irish Republic, parts of the British mainland (such as Glasgow and Liverpool), and elsewhere. In NI the parades in general are not confrontational, are attended by whole families, and pass off peacefully - though some of the more minor parades on other dates occur in interface areas and are more controversial. In the past "residents'" associations were formed in some nationalist areas to prevent some marches from passing or entering those areas.

The parades are organised in NI by the Orange Order or the Independent Orange Order. Paisley regularly speaks at an Independent OO parade, but is not a member of the OO.

The Orange Order is a religious and political society - it exists to defend historical reformed protestant doctrines (it is quite orthodox, religiously), to defend the Union of Great Britain and [now Northern] Ireland, and to defend civil and religious liberty. While some of its members (and some local or district lodges) may hold more extreme views, the order itself demands that its members show respect to individual members of other faiths, and advocates peaceful demonstrations only.

The rules on what organisations members of the security forces may join have been discussed by other respondents, and may be checked with the Ministry of Defence.

No, they're not. The paperwork for joining the British Armed Forces specifically states you can't join if you're a member of a racist or otherwise hateful and discriminatory group.

Despite policies and military laws against such things, some soldiers inevitably flaunt them anyway.
