Why do we exist?

Ummm..... Because God made us

Why?

Ummm.... Because he was lonely

Why?

Ummm... Because he.... ummm....

Religion has never answered any questions unless you are willing to accept the half-answers that it gives.

Why did God make us?

Cos he wanted to..

Oh wow! Now it all makes sense.

Seriously, what question has religion ever answered without making up something imaginary?

Philosophy is questions that may never be answered. Religion is answers that may never be questioned.

I imagine I do sometimes say things that may appear to some people as mean or awful but I mean no harm. I do have this kinda off sense of humor that sometimes well I know I am can be morbid and very silly but I would never dare use it with someone I felt wouldn't appreciate it though I guess I do make mistakes in my own judgement of people at times and I am so sorry if I ever said anything offensive that may have hurt anyone's feelings... except for those few who were outrageously passing on blatant predjudice as an excuse for an opinion when it's plain and clear they only wish to rile up others and cause trouble. I understand it is very awkward for alot of people communicating on this type of medium and how easy it is to misunderstand or be misunderstood in so many ways to just read words without the benefit of the eyes and facial expression, tone and inflection and body language. I mean if in person couples can make the same mistake after being together for years, imagine then here... yet I think most of us do manage to find many areas of common ground where we can still share information and learn while still being able to laugh and have fun despite alot of differences, so um well I think that's quite a miracle despite everything. I dunno.

Whew, you got a reaction with that question. Believing in God is one thing and believing in a religion is another. Many people with faith believe in Almighty God. This God is so big and so more developed than us we get mere hints of Gods existence. I believe human beings can be somewhat aware of some entity that they can only partially comprehend. Religion & Theology are tools humanity uses to grasp the significance of God. Human beings have the power to communicate and solve peoblems. I apologize for giving you a partial answer but maybe search your experiences could God have dropped hints of God's existence in small ways to you? It's hapened to me. Little things. Not like the Movie the 10 Commandments with Charleston Heston, God Speaks from a burning bush. I never experienced that. Look how those 12-Step Groups simply believe in a "Higher-Power".

Here are some questions that religion answers without making up something imaginary:

1.) What was the cause of the crusades?

Some group of idiots thought their religion was better than another group of idiots' religion

2.) Why are there so many backwards, dumb f*** republicans

Christianity

3.) Why are there so many idiots blowing themselves up and killing each other because they worship the same god differently

Islam

4.) Why are there jack asses blowing up abortion clinics

Some idiots think that their religion forbids it

5.) Why are there so many young boys being molested by so middle aged and older men?

Catholicism

6.) Why do we have theocracies?

Religion... the village idiots have to form the government based on something, right?

7.) Why do we have seperation of church and state in the United States?

because of religion.... its existence made us realize that if we didn't separate the two, all of the intelligent people would leave the country.

So religion actually does answer many questions without making up something imaginary.

:D

Life is full of questions without answers. Religion, being a part of life, is no different. Most people search for "the meaning of life" their whole life. "What's the meaning of life?" "Why am I here?" "What is the nature of the universe?" "Is there a God?" "What is the nature of God?" "What am I here to do? What purpose do I have in life?"

Why do they search? Because there is no answer. Some people find the answers to their questions in religion. Some, such as you, do not.

Live and let live. Stop attacking those whose beliefs differ from your own, and worry about yourself.

Well you must admit that to answer every question about why God made us we would have to know the mind of God. And thus we would have to be God. You need to realize that there are some things we just cannot and will not know. Even science admits that, right? What happened before the "Big bang"... "Ummm we don't know, and probably can't know." Paraphrased from Steven Hawking.
No religion I know of claims to answer every question, the answer to the unanswerable questions is just different for a religious person than for a non-religious question. The biggest difference is that those who believe in God have a system that does explain everything, even if it is by referring to divine knowledge that we cannot understand, and even if it leaves questions unanswered. By "explain everything" I mean that there is a reason for everything, but only God knows it, we don't. Science cannot do that.

I dont believe the answers to these questions are as simplified as that
I do have my own theories based on some spirit teachings about all the " whys " that do give a little more food for thought
but again it is all speculation and trust

have you read Conversations with God yet Sho ?
I think I suggested this before to you
it answers these things quite well

You apparently do not believe in God or you would
know what God said,if you have never read his word you
have no basis for saying anything because you know not what
you ask.
