This is a tough question, as I've never been in Larry Craig's shoes.
I know he's a Godly man because he said so.
But my heterosexuality combined with my germ phobia prevents me from sitting in public restrooms. I'll never know.

Is being a faithful and upstanding church goer still sinning when he commits sodomy between consenting adults?
I don't think any sexual act between consenting adults is a sin. If someone is "cheating" on their spouse the sin isn't in the sex it's in the betrayal.

Most fun things are a sin, thats why you very rarely see an upstanding church goer crack a smile :)

The closest statement GOD has on the issue is
NOT TO COMMIT ADULTERY
Now, we we take that literal or liberal.
Is Adultery having sex with another's spouse or a spouse having sex with someone not their spouse
OR is it deflowering and adulterating.
Short of THIS, neither GOD nor JESUS said anything specific.
There are some religious people who feel what is commonly known as "foreplay" is not acceptable.
There are some religions who believe the Bible allows them to have concurrent multiple wives (polygamy).
So you can see the religious interpretations vary widely.
From a technical standpoint there are THREE main thrusts
NO ADULTERY
GO FORTH BE FRUTIFUL AND MULITPLY
TO KEEP FROM BEING FORNICATORS ALL MEN SHOULD MARRY
That's about it from God and Jesus
Everything else is from MAN.

Does the bible say that? Does it say, it's wrong "unless you are a faithful and upstanding church goer?" I think not. Sodomy is a sin no matter who does it!

Yes. It is a sin. Now, is the time to remove all sin from your life because our redemption draws near. The Tribulation Period of Scripture is by far the most horrible time for man on the earth. We want to be accounted worthy to escape these things and to stand in front of Jesus Christ.

Ok so then why is sodomy wrong? Sex is for the enjoyment of the married couple, and of course procreation. I realize you cant procreate with anal sex but if you are doing this within your marriage why would it be wrong?

I'm included on one of the ones in trouble...
Yep, the only "accepted" thing in the bible is the missionary position. ANYTHING else is a sin.
By the way, I love your website.
