you probably need to get a print for the drapes, because that's a LOT of color to try and blend... once you decide on the colors in your pattern for curtains, make sure it's a smaller print that doesn't overpower the small studio.

pick one color (maybe the burgandy) for the rug, but use a monochromatic scheme for this (different shades of burgandy, maybe with some lighter pinks in it to pull from the ceilings)

The blue/silver futon does not go well with the walls and ceilings. I would suggest a new pad to replace the blue in a lighter shade of burgandy. Go with a rug in taupe or cream and drapes in cream to lighten up the room.

I like your color scheme a lot. I think I would pick up the taupe from the ceiling in the area rug & drapes - so it would kind of be like a reflection. Check out these taupe area rugs. Some of them are really beautiful:

I love the "corolla" and the "pomp" rugs, but with your color scheme, definitely check out the "jazz" design.

Try cream sheers with a blue and silver (possibly burgandy or pink) print drapery. This will look classy, and if the print is, too... modern!

REMEBER. Keep it light an airy, becuse it is a small space.!
