have him neutered...that will stop him. You should do this anyway.

If you haven't had him altered DO IT NOW before he starts spraying....
......otherwise every time you see him indulging tell him No in a firm voice and remove him from the object...never leave him alone with it in the meantime so you may have to pack the pillows up during your sleep/work times.
An other thing you can try is to remove temporarily all the objects of his interest...after a while you can bring them back out and if enough time has passed he may have forgotten his bit o' naughtiness....may take a few months, in the meantime you can put the pillows out for company....Good Luck

He's sexually active. Eight months is when they are mature enough to mate and younever mentioned having him neutered. This will stop 98% of this, if not all of it. It takes a few weeks for all the testosterone to tone down, but after that things will be back to normal.
Out of our 3 males, only one tries to hump on my furry bathrobe, the other two never got interested in any of it again.

Oh my. I have owned a LOT of cats. And by a lot of cats I mean a LOT of cats. I have owned probably 40+ cats, seriously, but not all at one time.
Anyway, first thing to do is, don't buy a female cat, or else you'll end up with many baby kitties around the house.
All kidding aside, I think you should take him to the vet and ask him/her for solution to your problems.

I have a male persian who does this, to pillows, dogs, blankets and anything else soft and fuzzy he can find. He is not altered and he has not grown out of it, so I wouldn't count on that. My friend has a male cat that does this as well, he IS neutered, didn't help him either.

you should have him neutered, which will probably solve this problem. probably, i say, not certainly.
i had a cat with the same issue, except he liked wool sweaters. he had been neutered but still kept on humping. and i often used a spray bottle (water) to discourage him when he was "in flagrante".
good luck!

Well, I would take him to the vet and see if there is anything that they could do for him. Or if nothing else, you could try putting away any stuffed animals of pillows or anything like that.

I have a FEMALE dog who does this, we found it bizzare, we took her to the vet to see if it was normal or not. The vet says it is just for domenance. You can give your cat back his toys, it should stop after a month or two. Good look.
