The night before April 16th, my mom had a horrible nightmare-type-of dream about people on a ship. But they were going in the opposite direction of where my mom was...and they were screaming for her to help them, for her to do anything to get them off the boat. There were more details, but they're too cruel to describe. My mom was so shocked and horrified by this dream that she awoke early in the morning and she couldn't go back to sleep. She had a strong feeling that something was wrong, and since she had nothing else to do, she turned on the early-morning TV news. This was when she found out about the Virginia Tech shooting. By the way, my mom went to Virginia Tech for college. Is there a connection?

Absolutely. Your mom was connected to Virginia Tech, and she sensed/felt the negativity. That type of thing will often happen during sleep, when we are more open and receptive to energy. The emotions/feelings in her dream aligned with what when on that terrible day. That had to be really disconcerting for her.

Yeah, there was a connection. Dreams like that are from God letting people know that others are heading towards a path of destruction. God was letting your mom know to pray for those who see saw on the ship. Ship represents a vessel or vehicle by which all who are on it, are heading in the same path or direction. That direction could be success, death, or destruction.

Possibly. If this is a regular thing then it may be she's got a prophetic calling on her life.
