I just saw a question (whether pointless or not) here it is:

A man in prison for a murder-for-hire charge against his wife who has found Jesus and been 'born again.'

-Or-

A life-long atheist with a clear criminal record save a few parking tickets.

And I saw that a LOT of people (namely Chriistans) said that the man who seemed to be a hit man, but was "born-again" was the better person than an atheist who was clean...Just one question: Wtf? Can someone please explain to me how that is?

Most People, even Christians, have a tough time with this one.

Most People judge according to this World System. How good or bad you have been.

Getting Born-Again, Recreates You, a Spirit, and as GOD Sees it, after your Recreated, you are a New Creature.
Clean! no past.

But, we still have Laws, and as Man See's it, if you do the Crime, you do the Time.
Even if you are a New Creature.

Oh well!
That's the Best I can do at This Time to Explain this thing.

I believe it is pointless to compare people in this way. Our Heavenly Father will do everything he can short of compulsion to help each of his children reach their potential.

Simply because someone has been "born again" doesn't mean they don't have significant growing to do in many different areas. The same goes for an atheist with a clear criminal record.

To reach our potential it is necessary to have faith in Jesus Christ. Those who don't have this opportunity during mortal life will have the privilege later. God will never stop anyone from learning and obeying truth, and thereby reap the benefits.

Christians believe that you have to accept jesus to go into heaven. There for the man who hired a hit man to kill his wife is better because he is going to heaven. The atheist will go to hell no matter how many good deeds he does since he does not accept jesus as his lord and savior.

But I don't believe that since I am an atheist.

Peace be upon you.

I will try my best. Jesus died for all those who did not deserve it in order to buy you salvation. This was done through alot of suffering, suffering that you do not have to go through when you are judge for your actions here on earth. In return for this he asks that you praise him and thank him by telling others what he did for them as well. On the other hand there are those who trun their back and say he I don't care that you died for me your life means nothing I will do as I wish and this is okay as long as I don't hurt anyone else I should recieve salvation, just by good works. Anyone can change and no one should be judged by their sins, but by their heart this is what Jesus preached, this is why he is the only way, and that is why he deserves a lot of recognition. Hope this helps.

In regards to you below let me just say that no child goes to hell, because a child is unable to choose. You are seriously misinformed.

The logical extreme to this argument is a Jewish child put to death in a gas chamber during WW2. By the Christian fundamentalist rational, that child will go straight to hell due to the fact that she never accepted Jesus as her personal savior. However, her executor, after personally gassing, shooting, and torturing several thousand or hundred thousand innocent men, women and children to death, accepts Jesus as his savior and goes straight to heaven. I still can't get my head around how people could see any sort of justice or righteousness in this sort of "logic".

Good works aren't neccesary to go to heaven. All you have to do is believe some stupid detail about the afterlife. You see a glaring problem with Christianity.

See? Christianity is just a death cult with no real benefit for society.

We don't make the rules; God does. And every Christian should know what it says in Matt.3:3-7.."Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." v5 "Except a man be born of the water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." v6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the spirit is spirit." v7 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN." Amen. And don't forget John 3:16

They go with the guy who's saved because Christians know they can sin their whole lives and still get what they want.

Once again, both are sinners. God doesn't grade on a curve. Salvation is only by faith in Jesus.

Simple. Bible thumpers are so brainwashed that they think that ANYONE born again goes to heaven. So it is with the likes of Hitler, Jeffery Dahmer, Torquemada, Mussolini, etc.

All they see is "born again" and "accepted Jesus".
