Why did church folks say three times that my name points out my level of intelligence?

On questions that I've posted recently, church folks commented on three occasions that my name points out my level of intelligence.

And it seemed they didn't mean it in a nice way.

I deleted those questions, but why did they say that?
I chose the name Cro-Magnon cause I thought it represented an evolutionary step above Neanderthal, who went extinct around 35 thousand years ago.

Isn't Cro-Magnon man, I mean, aren't modern humans directly descended from them? And are basically identical in brain size, etc.? If I'm incorrect let me know, I'll change my name to something better.

Well, I had one church guy come on and denegrate my view of human evolution, saying "You need to do more studding." So what the hey.
Most of them can't even spell atheist, so just get over it.

In my opinion, the name you selected has nothing to do with anything except the reason you selected it. Those "church people" probably just got out of a service that left them feeling "holier than thou" and were just spouting off. Ignore them. They were showing their intelligence (or lack of) as well as lack of feeling for another human being. It takes that level of mental capacity to criticize someone because of a name they chose in an online community. It's like teasing a 3rd grader about his name. Ask your questions and put some thought behind them.

Actually what name you choose is up to you. Some guy had Grhhh or something like that. Don't let others dictate what name you want to use, maybe their low intelligence is showing by commenting on your name rather than answering your questions. I'm sorry I don't remember seeing your questions but don't keep track of anyone on here as we are so many.

Obviously those who insulted you have no idea of the evolutionary significance of Cro-Magnon man; they just think you're one of those going-to-hell atheists and grasp for ways to put you down. Your name makes you an easy target. Anyone who knows anything about science will appreciate it. You might want to keep it; it's a way to tell who's got a brain and uses it, and who doesn't.

If you've offended them in some way, that would be a reason as to why they would insult your intelligence. Granted, they should 'turn the other cheek' if they really took their religion seriously.

One of those so called amazing discoveries turned out to be a jaw bone of an animal, and another was a tooth that turned out to be from a wild pig. Both instances, they made a full head, just out of that one little piece, dated and named it. Both were found to be wrong. You need to do more studding.

Ordinarily I'd say who gives a holy crap what your name is, but I won't say that because it might get me a Violation Notice.

Let me just say, don't worry about it. Church people will make derogatory comments if you are saying things not pleasing to god almighty and his half-cousin Jesus.

So calm down your rhetoric a little and you won't get people referring to your intelligence.

but who cares what they say. i know you picked it because it just sounds cool. but cavemen are becoming very popular all of a sudden thx to Geico (15 minutes everybody, i mean your already on the net).

if you like the name, keep it. let your actions speak for you, not your name.

I can not say I would understand that name and it is probable they don't just think of prehistoric men as lower intelligence.
