average sentence for fraud?

My ex forged my name to an insurance document and also on a check for $7000. He is in the military. How much time does he face once convicted. (I turned him in because he was physically/mentally abusive and threatened to run off with our son to his home country)

There is NO average with any meaning. Assuming he is convicted, a DISHONORABLE discharge is probably the starting point. That could end up more serious than his actual sentence. Without knowing WHERE he would be tried, any answer regarding time will depend on where the person answering ASSUMES he will be tried.
